This was exactly the rom-com I needed! Delilah and Claire w were 😚🀌🏻

So sweet. Mild familial angst.

I liked that Astrid got her redemption and can't wait for her book.

But I ADORED Iris. When homegirl threw that punch towards the end and yelled, "No country for old shit boots," I fell in love 🫠. I know I have to wait until next year for her book, but I will be ready.

Reading this book was like being wrapped up in a cozy gentle hug.

Such a charming story about a Tea Monk's search for purpose and the robot who helps them realize that "purpose" is arbitrary and that existing - experiencing life is enough.

I needed this. Dex is me. But also, Mosscap is me. I love them.

It's hard for me to step back from this book and be convinced that this is a rom com. (I have also not read any of the author's other works to be able to compare.)

At the end of the day, this book is not about Nora and Charlie. It's about Nora and Libby.

It's about the sacrifices we make for family and those people we love most in the world. And how those sacrifices can impact our own happiness. It's about guilt, grief, and the trauma of losing a parent at a young age. There is a lifetime's worth of shit to unpack with a therapist in here.

And then there's a little bit of love story.

Don't get me wrong, I adore Nora and Charlie's relationship. Their dry wit and banter is 100% my kind of humor. I really do love them and they are perfect for each other. And for them to finally be able to stand up and prioritize their own happiness is 😚🀌🏻

I still really enjoyed this book. But, overall, I think classifying this as a rom com might be misleading.

4.5⭐

Oh my this was such a SWEET story about love and found family 😩❀️

The artwork was gorgeous and whimsical.

So glad I found Tillie Walden. If you're looking for something that gives you the same feelings as Heartstopper (but with more space action)- definitely check out her work.

3.5⭐

Kit Webb is a grouchy and unwilling retired highwayman that has begrudgingly settled into a life running his coffee shop. His routine is completely thrown off by Percy, a young and arrogant aristocrat who wants to hire Kit to steal from his father.

"Kit refuses to participate in the robbery but agrees to teach Percy how to do the deed. Percy knows he has little choice but to submit and as the lessons in thievery begin, he discovers thievery isn’t the only crime he’s desperate to commit with Kit."

Overall, this was a really cute read. I find that I have to be in a very specific mood for historical romance and I'm not 100% I was in the right mood for this one but the audio book was really fun. And the epilogue was 😚🀌🏻 so cute.

I actually picked this up because I have the second book in the series as an ARC. I can say, I'm excited to see what Marion and Rob get up to in the second installment πŸ˜„

Almost 4 ⭐? (Might as well)

I think this is what I needed. A Hades/Persephone inspired fantasy romance. There were some really nice nods to the original story while still being something original.

Forced marriage
Steamy slow burn enemies to allies to lovers

I definitely enjoyed this world enough to check out the other books in the series.

Yep, I liked this one even more.

What can I say? These are bad dudes. But I like them anyways πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™€οΈ

Also, very excited to see what happens in the next book - all I can say is "Yikes Cherry " 🫣

I was actually surprised by how much I liked this!

The story itself was a really compelling dark take on Peter Pan and the magic of Neverland. This first book ends on a big cliff hanger ( but luckily I can jump into the next one)

And, uh, these are really bad dudes. Like can I even call them "morally grey"? Unclear. πŸ˜† But, nevertheless, here I am. Excited to see Winnie's relationship develop with all of them πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™€οΈ
