Yeah.... DNF at 27%
Idk, I never read Icebreaker but I know it was a tiktok darling. Maybe this is just a case of Hannah Grace not being for me.
Look, we all have daddy/mommy issues but the way we are discussing this with these characters is just so heavy handed and it's distracting.
Kudos to a man who likes to eat 😺 though.

DNF @ 20%
The premise sounded fun and I anticipated it being primarily spice so that was fine too.
I just could not deal with the author's overly flowery writing. It's like she was trying to come up with the most creative ways to describe the acts that she could think of and it ended up being clunky and weird. You don't need to reinvent the wheel every time, you know?
What a shame.

Ughhhhhh I really wanted to like this one because, in theory, this is exactly the kind of romance I'd devour. There were just too many little things with the writing that started to add up and continuously take me out of the story. I lost motivation to continue and knowing it's a duology, I can't bring myself to finish.

Idk, I think I read 2 or 3 chapters? This author just might not be for me. I did not like the FMC, the writing felt like it was trying really hard to be funny, and all of the character interactions were just cringy.
Also, idk how I feel about authors having characters that are specifically written to be self inserts? Seems like a lazy way to try and be inclusive.

DNF for now. I don't think I'm in the mood but may come back to it
Nothing inherently wrong with it. I just realized I don't love when there is a second book about the same couple after they've already gotten together. The external drama does not intrigue me enough when they are already happily in love. So I'll skip this and just move into book 3
It was fun for awhile but I lost interest. MGMF might be the only minotaur/milking book for me 🤷🏻♀️
The Geography of Nowhere: The Rise and Decline of America's Man-Made Landscape
DID NOT FINISH: 28%
Ironic that the author is lamenting the ugliness of the American landscape is a hardcore supporter of Trump - the slimiest of real estate slumlords.
I was very interested in the history of the American landscape and where the concepts for these blueprints came from. Interesting architectural information.
But I lost steam after learning about the authors politics (big yikes)

This is truly one of those situations where it is not the book, it is me.
I am in a major reading slump and even things that would normally appeal to me (THIS!!!!) are a real struggle to get into.
Whenever I get back on track, I'll come back to this.
