This book is just stunning. Forget the genre label on the book or whether it’s a children’s book or not; this book is or everyone who has ever experienced grief, loneliness, and the feeling that they don’t quite belong. It is a beautiful slavic-inspired tale of growing, being, and finding ones own way in the world. This is a delightful read, full of unexpected twists and adventures and I hope that everyone reads this!

I was going to give this 4 stars but the last section of the book was so beautiful and unexpected and full of special moments, and it even made me cry. I’m going to be buying this for my kids one day, but ultimately just as much for me.

I sure do love a good epic fantasy, and an author who isn’t afraid of description and wandering and battles. All of the WoT books are rather daunting for their length and I’m not sure that all that length is necessary (and it definitely should not take as long as it does for them to get out of Emond’s Field, let alone the Two Rivers) but they’re still fun. I listened to the audio book this time round and it was pretty good, but the change of narrators 2/3 of the way in (with different pronunciation) was annoying to me, but overall good.

This was a really interesting book and while I’m not quite sure, I think this book was 4 stars for me. A very unique story, the play with time was very interesting, if a little confusing at times. This would definitely be a great book for book clubs and discussions so I can see why it’s so popular. The prose is beautiful and it really gets at a different way of life and the power of resiliency and love.

I really liked this one and really appreciated how the world is coming together and we the readers know more now...even if it was 900+ pages...

What a fun adventure! I liked this a lot more than I expected. It really drew me in and I couldn’t help racing to the end with Wade.
