What I am about to write is going to sound wrong, but when the Heroine, Annique Villers aka the spy name Fox Cub, was blind, she was way more independent and less dependent on the Hero: Grey. And when she hit the tree branch and regained her sight after five months blind due, so something was pinching the optic nerve, she became super dependent on Grey/Robert.

Spoiler:

Most cringeworthy moment but you don't realize it till a few pages later: The spies talking about Grey deflowering Annique in front of her Grandfather/Galba, but the readers or the characters do not know that Galba is her Grandfather. That was awkward.

Overall, it wasn't a bad romance, I felt it was disjointed.

I have read other books on swearing, and this is a great starter book, it covers most research and info about the other books without getting bogged down. Also: quick read - under 200 pages.

History shows/proves that the unwritten traditions of democracy tend to be the downfall. The United States has two unwritten traditions that have been diminishing since the 1980s, and under the current administration, they are freefalling. The two norms in American Politics that are written and assumed are these: mutual toleration: realizing that if the rivals not in power they have a right to exist. The second is Institutional forbearance: is showing restraint in the powers that they have. This book explains the history of other democracies that have failed and what the current state of the United States when it comes to these two unwritten traditions.

Hal Brands writes about the Grand Strategy that the United States has had since World War II and what changed after the Cold War. The Grand Strategy is what the United States view of their role in the world and how it benefits all parties which is basic statecraft/ State Department plan. Then it precedes to talk about the previous administrations' changes to the overall Grand Strategy and how it is changing with the current administration.

While I had a hard time connecting to the stories, the writing was tight and well thought out. Nothing could be taken away from the stories.
