This doesn't feel like a book, it feels like a series of drawings - and not very impressive ones at that. The color palette is too dark, it makes it hard to see wtf if going on. The characters' designs are far too similar, it's hard to tell one from another. They don't really have any personality either, besides saying "fuck" and "god" and each others' names a lot. The art style is nice again but, I repeat, the palette is annoying. The story doesn't make any sense - literally none - and it's boring and unoriginal, besides. And like I know it's supposed to be super soft and emotional and heartbreaking but... it kinda feels like it comes out of nowhere? There's no real buildup. And the characters have such little personality that it's hard to feel attached and sympathetic to them. The entire plot is just driving, a random cat, being chased by uninteresting Bad Guys™ who want said cat, and a tragic backstory reveal. All of it interspersed with random "when I was a kid..." Childhood stories that I couldn't care less about. Almost pathetic. If you're looking for a good graphic novel, I'd recommend you give this one a skip.
