I enjoyed this book, it is the first Sara Shepherd book I have read.
I found it very easy and enjoyable to read and there wasn't much hard thinking to go along with it. It was full of intrigue and mystery and much like the show that is based on this book, you find yourself pointing fingers and second-guessing every character which is always a lot of fun and creates suspense.

I had such high hopes for this series when I read the first book, Matched. I thought it was a very clever world to have created and it really intrigued me to find out what would happen. And then came Crossed....which was a complete and utter bore. I liked the idea of Ky and Cassia in the mountains, and finding each other but then nothing happened. Everything to do with this tale has resorted to being told in a deathlike trudge with no true plan really coming to light. Reached was worse, even more boring and as for the ending, it didn't seem like they really gained anything significant. Things could easily go back to the way they are. Just a big fat disappointment!
I enjoyed this book as much as The Lying Game. Again, it was an easy, enjoyable read that always had a lot of suspense and excitement. You really don't know what is around the corner for Emma and Sutton! And I love how you really do suspect everyone of being the killer!
I really enjoyed the world in this book. I wasn't going to read it cause I have seen the film(which i loved) but my friend read the book and gave it to me.
R is great and I love that for the first time we get a look into the mind of a zombie. R is sensitive and asks the questions we presume zombies just don't think about. This book makes you rethink the stories and movies of zombies that we've seen and read before.
There is a very beautiful contrast between the words R speaks out loud and his thoughts. The whole book is basically a stream of thoughts from R's mind and the language and the thinking he does about complex issues and why things are the way they are is really shape the poignancy of a book that you might not take as seriously at first.
It is a tale of finding your humanity when we would all presume humanity is lost.

I always enjoy these books. They are very easy to read and even though some of the characters (Char and the Twitter Twins) can be really annoying, the kindness of Emma and the excitement of the plots make you forget about anything else. I'm dying to know who killed Sutton!!
