A, not so distant, futuristic dystopian novel that is equal parts original, scary relatable, and fast paced.
"Yours for the Taking" leaves you with a lot of food for thought in regards to the future of humanity. Feminism, gender, morality, and environmentalism are just a few of the topics Gabrielle Korn has you mulling over throughout this story.
Thanks to NetGalley for the eARC.

One of my favorite series ever and then Moira Quirk's narraration goes and breathes life into every last bone; alive, dead, and all the in-betweens.
A yearly comfort reread/listen.

Educational and amusing. A fun read for Zombie lovers of all ages. This has recently become a favorite for my 4yo, one that we read multiple times a week.
"The Willows" by Algernon Blackwood is amazing, so go get creeped out by reading and/or listening to that first (narration by Felbrigg Napoleon Herriot recommended for extra eldritch vibes). Then come back to "The Hollow Places" for some Willows inspired, comically creeptastic, extradimentional fun.

Ooph... This book was not for me.
It was definitely well written aaand oh so boring for about 2/3 of the way through. Fortunately, I was reading in tandem with the audiobook which was significantly less boring and yet it still drug ass.
What did I even learn that I haven't seen in a documentary?..
My brain just didn't want to absorb this.
