Low stakes indeed. Not a whole lot actually happens plot wise, a tad slow going. Very cozy, found family read. I would be in favor of an animated movie

A not-so successful Scooby mystery.

This book will make you angry, sad, and yet hopeful for a future where we can eradicate racial inequality, while celebrating diversity and how much we all can benefit from it. This should be required reading, though I'm aware that reading won't necessarily create a conscience and understanding where it doesn't already exist.
