a criminally uninteresting book. i tried my best to read it, but i am incredibly uninterested in authur, ford, or their journey in general.
i like the premise of this but i find myself extremely uninvested in anything happening and that’s a sign to dnf.
literally no desire to finish it...also this made me realize perhaps i hate books with apocalyptic, virus-focused plotlines
unfortunately i don’t feel invested :(( i might return to it because the writing style is really great and i care about the main character and her motivations, but i don’t seem to be able to get pulled into the story and stay involved and it’s become a bit of a chore to read :(
this book is just...very dated with the way it views/talks about autism? I dont know why I thought a thriller would have even a slight amount of decorum about an autistic character being the only person witnessing a murder and needing to help the detectives but alas...I was wrong. I will take my L and move no further.
the writing was doing nothing for me sadly, and the characters and plot did not interest me or make me want to read further
