I will have to say that I didn't know who it was until the reveal, which I'm bummed I couldn't figure out, but it was artfully done! Interesting commentary on social media. Also, this would make a fun movie!

3.5/5. Read at the recommendation of @paperbackdreams! I think if I had read this book at age 17/18, it would have been my absolute favorite book of all time. However reading it at my current age, it doesn't hit the same. I still enjoyed it, but it took more for me to get into it than I thought. (Also, I listened to this book and the narrator is amazing!)

4.5/5. I've never read a true crime book but this one seemed so appealing to me for several reasons. She was an incredible writer, and honestly if she had been able to complete the book I probably would've given 5 stars. (It was a little hard to follow in the parts where they had to piece together her work.) But overall, fantastic book and an homage to all true-crime fans who think they could solve the murder at home!

Also, as a side note, this book was so much easier to read knowing that the man has been caught and jailed now. It got a little to close to home at some points, and I would've been more anxious about it if he was still on the loose.

The plot reminded me of Knives Out, and I will say that I genuinely didn't see it coming. I didn't love that there were so many people who had secret identities, I could've done without one of them for sure. But, it was still a fun listen, and the narrator had an excellent British accent, and I could see a fun movie being made from this book (if they go on making more Hercule Poirot movies).

2nd read, loved it just as much.

I have to admit that some of the science in this book went over my head but I loved the story and really love all of the characters. The first book stayed with me for a long time and I imagine this one will stay with me even longer.

This is the first (explicitly) anti-racist book that also talks about the Church, and Austin Channing Brown does it beautifully. This book is largely personal essays, with a few interludes. It was a quick but sweet read!

This book started out pretty slow, but once it picked up it was really good. It took me months to read the first few chapters and then one weekend to read the rest.
