4.5/5. I've never read a true crime book but this one seemed so appealing to me for several reasons. She was an incredible writer, and honestly if she had been able to complete the book I probably would've given 5 stars. (It was a little hard to follow in the parts where they had to piece together her work.) But overall, fantastic book and an homage to all true-crime fans who think they could solve the murder at home!

Also, as a side note, this book was so much easier to read knowing that the man has been caught and jailed now. It got a little to close to home at some points, and I would've been more anxious about it if he was still on the loose.
