Was a treat to see Natasha's first-ever comics appearance and to see how she's developed as a character overall in the early years. She very much gets a lot of the 'oh she can't do these things because she's a woman' but handles it with grace and general badassery. I live for women proving men wrong, especially in comics where men seem to think female characters are reserved for eye candy. 

Honestly, it was really boring. It was trying to do too much while also not giving concise information. 

I thought this was cute, but this was definitely had a bit of the insta-love (which is not particularly my favorite) going on as opposed to an enemies-to-lovers (which what I initially thought it would be). I did really like the characters and the artwork and there were some pretty high stakes moments that I think made this book great. Kinda wished there was a little more to the ending, but it still worked.

I literally needed to look at the themes of her other book to save myself from giving this a lower rating because TBH any part going into detail about her husband were the worst parts of the book. However, her focus on learning to love herself and accept her past experiences (and boy are they heavy) without keeling over to the unsolicited advice that the 'religious people' were throwing at her made me relate and look up to her strength.

Honestly, I'm interested in seeing how this gets adapted to film because while I am usually a fan of slow-burns, this one felt a bit rushed at the end. However, I think this author did a great job with putting us in the shoes of our main character and created a world that was both eerie and recognizable (at least for those who grew up in small towns). 

I loved this, but I wish there were maybe 2 more issues in the series to really round out the story because I feel like there was a fair amount of lore/background that was missed due to the low issue count. The artwork was gorgeous, the characters were very well fleshed out, and this can absolutely be used an easy to digest method of introducing pronouns. 

This sequel absolutely was not needed. 

I think this was a fine enough ending, but I wish there were a few more pages that were added considering this was a final battle. However, I will say that the idea of having opposing sides try to play god (and essentially fucking over everyone) is an interesting concept that I’d love to see more of in a full-length form in the comics realm.

Normally I’m not big on comics that are mostly training montages but I can’t help but be a little biased on my rating purely because of the team itself (especially Bling!). A bit odd to have this as the second to last issue of the series but each issue has been moving the overall story along nicely so I have some high hopes for the finale.

This was freaking adorable and an absolute hoot on audiobook (literally fought so hard to not burst out laughing at work). For a YA story, I really enjoyed that there was self-accountability going on throughout because TBH I'm not big on the whole teens being dumb for the sake of being young aspect that I've noticed a lot of YA novels seem to have. This 1000% lives up to its title and this is totally the book for you if you want something lighthearted with a bit of realistic (and slightly dramatic) life scenarios.
