This was adorable! As a dinosaur lover and a hopeless romantic at my core, this was a unique addition to the rom com genre.

I thought this was a fun look into the beginning of Wanda ad Vision’s marriage and a reminder of why they’re my favorite couple in the Marvel Universe.
informative medium-paced

I have no words to describe how mind blown I am over this book, but I will say that audiobook format is ABSOLUTELY the way to go (especially with 3 fantastic narrators bringing it to life). I’m definitely intrigued to see how this plays out in the upcoming movie. For additional content in a slightly similar subject matter, I highly recommend the Kuiper Island podcast.

I know the art style might not be everyone's cup of tea, but I actually think it worked really well for the story and on a nostalgia aspect. I do wish that we got to see more of Lauren and Mariah's relationship more because I feel like this was a bit fast-paced, but I also understand the goal of focusing on how fucked-up these hardcore "religious people" get against marginalized communities and also women in general. As someone who will probably forever feel catholic guilt, I very much resonated with this in a personal aspect.

I picked this up purely based on the cover and that it had a musical aspect to it, and I will say that I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed it. I think if I had the time, this would have absolutely been a book that I finished in a day. This had a lot of points regarding the unfair power dynamic that the wealthy still have to this very day while still being engaging enough with the cast of characters and the overall crime plot. I can absolutely see a studio like A24 or Neon adapting this in the future.

This was a very enjoyable listen purely for the fact that it was narrated like a podcast, which I feel elevated the experience on a listening aspect. I think narrator Charles Constant really good job at giving everyone a different voice and personality, especially considering this is a non-fiction true crime. Definitely a must-read (listen?) if you watched 'Candy' or 'Love & Death' or are interested in crimes of passion-type stories.

I really enjoyed the 'Dazzler: The Movie' portion of this book because it's very much rooted in the insanity that was the "golden age" of Hollywood. The 'Beauty & The Beast' portion (including the one-shot epilogue) were a bit cringe at times regarding the romance aspect. The overall plot was fast-paced, but it also felt like there was a lot going on at the same time.

This one had slightly less charm than 'The Love Hypothesis' (in my opinion and probably because I'm a hardcore ReyLo shipper), but I loved that there were relatively high non-romance-related stakes in this and I think that Hazelwood did a fantastic job with letting the reader into the neuroscience world in a digestible way.

Also, this is my official petition for a Rocio and Kaylee spin-off!

Definitely on the predictable side, but the characters were very well-written and a great read if you’re looking for something on the light-hearted side.
