I'm fully aware that I (someone who is in their 30s) am not the target audience for this book. But good lord there was waaaaaaaaay too much obnoxiousness between the siblings for this to be enjoyable. I did enjoy the overall concept, but I wish that shit hit the fan a bit faster.

Pretty solid series of a fully-realized concept. I’m intrigued to see how much darker and weirder this could have gotten if it were one of the longer graphic novels.

This was absolutely adorable and a great way to modernize the witch character in books. I think this also did a fantastic job with the found family aspect, and I really really want a novella of just Ian and Ken.

Jesus Christ! I was so latched on and then it ended! Is this when the concept of the cliffhanger began???

This is a perfect example of how to merge the memoir and history formats while still being entertaining and relatable. I can't wait to read more of Allende's works (both fiction and nonfiction).

I do love the storytelling of one’s life through tattoos aspect as someone who has multiple tattoos (and want more hee hee), but it think it was missing a middle section of Sara’s life on Ta’un’uu. This is one of the rare cases where I wish the book was a little longer.

I relate to SOOOOOOOO MUCH of Briana and Jacob's experiences with past romantic relationships and the traumas that came with them. This was nearly perfect, but I think the 'does he like me?/does she like me?' miscommunication aspect went on a little bit too long for my taste. Otherwise, this was a beautifully heartbreaking book with an amazing light at the end of the tunnel ending.

This one book taught me more about the life of a holocaust survivor from before the war and after the war than most movies and fictionalized narratives combined. This book is a perfect example of why graphic novels (in this case graphic memoir) should 1000% person be taken seriously as reading material.

Each story I this collection was very well written no matter the length and I could absolutely see adapted to the stage.

This was super heavy in terms of the overall subject matter combo of grieving a loved one lost to murder and how fucked society is towards women (especially in regards to crime). It's so heartbreaking seeing how hard someone tried to get away from abuse only to have it be the cause of their death. My only issue was that I think this may have been better to read in a physical from because their were a few parts with the personal stories that I got a bit lost, but otherwise I highly recommend this for true crime junkies.
