Nice visual descriptions and a great narrator can't help the fact that I got more information about the story from the summary than the actual book.

I definitely needed to take time during a non-busy period to read this, but otherwise I still enjoyed this collection and was reminded of why I love F. Scott Fitzgerald's writing so much.

Was getting a bit of ptsd from remembering my own high school experience while reading/listening to this, but I’m so happy that this book exists for queer/religious/bipoc readers of all ages.

Definitely wish that this was a full-length novel, but this was unnervingly timely and thought-provoking.  I too sometimes wish I could self-lobotomize to forget how fucked up this world is.

A fun and lighthearted read for spooky season! I wish this was slightly longer, but overall I was able to get the full story and understand who each character is within the allotted listening time.

Just WOW! This really exceeded my expectations in so many ways and kept me on my toes the entire time! Definitely one of the better mysteries I've read/listened to this year!
informative mysterious slow-paced

I feel like this would have been better in a physical format over audio, but I still thought it was very informative and helped me learn a bunch about my hometown’s history. The format seems similar to ‘In Cold Blood,’ but I think the narrations should have been similar to that of ‘Killers Of The Flower Moon.’

As a huge fan of Fitzgerald’s original work, I think that this is a great adaptation of the novel. Of course, there are limitations when adapting a full-length work to a graphic form, but K. Woodman-Maynard used her love for the work itself to bring to life the same imagery and the theme of ‘money can’t buy you happiness.’

I definitely think both of the stories could have benefitted from being written as full-length novels (especially ‘I Call Upon Thee’). It’s also hard not to compare these to her other works I’ve read (‘Within These Walls’ and ‘Seed’ as of this review), but I still found myself being sucked into both of her lead’s worlds and that’s all I can ask for.

I liked the balance between the life of someone working in the entertainment industry and dealing with being a late bloomer bisexual. I related a lot to Luna, and I hope that this book opens doors for more late bloomer bisexual stories to come forth.
