Fun and perfect for the Halloweenie season! Very ‘Heathers’ meets the werewolf storyline of ‘Trick R Treat.’ Beautiful artwork with a concise plot that left me satisfied after reading.

Definitely overhyped but I do like the cinematic writing and I’m interested in checking out the movie adaption.

I really wish that this was a longer book because I was ready for more of the cosmic shit to be more prominent. Great writing and atmosphere though. I’ll definitely be checking out more from this author.

Pleasantly surprised with how much I enjoyed this and I totally didn’t see the ending coming! Petition for Melissa Barrera to star in the adaptation please!

The overall mystery was fun for those who are big Scooby-Doo fans, and I'll never turn down an appearance from The Hex Girls, but I kind of wish that Daphne and Velma weren't estranged for most of the book.

If you’ve already watched the original ‘Hocus Pocus’ movie you should absolutely skip to part 2 of this book. I actually really enjoyed the sequel portion of this book and I’m a bit miffed that they didn’t just adapt this as the ‘Hocus Pocus 2’ movie.

Could’ve been slightly shorter in order to get to shit hitting the fan, but overall I thought that the concept and characters were well fleshed out and the stakes were high yet relatable. Kinda gave me some light ‘The Substance’ vibes but with an AAPI focused cast.

There was one particular aspect of the story that I thought was a bit unrealistic, but otherwise I thought the overall story was great. Definitely thought I had some of the twists figured out and was pleased to see that I was lead astray on some of my theories.
