Hot secret agents and a dual perspective make for the perfect steamy book. I flew through this book. This book had me on the edge of my seat and will definitely leave you wanting to read the sequel.
If I had to choose one word to describe this book: hilarious. This book had so many moments that made me LOL. Truly. This story of Meddy, her mom, and her aunts is hilarious but also so interesting as it showcases the power of family loyalty. Just when you think you know what is going to happen, something goes wrong and you're back to having no clue how the book will end. I can't wait for the Hollywood version of this book!
Did this book cause me to have a serious reflection on my life and reevaluate? Yes, yes it did.
I love the story of Noni Blake completely turning her life upside down. Of letting go of her comfort zone and stepping into unknown territory. The reader gets to see Noni be who she is - owning her sexuality and her plus-size body. This book made me laugh - with Noni's comical romantic encounters and journey to finding herself. Noni truly starts living for herself and, in my case, inspires the reader to do the same. By saying yes more, Noni lets go of her fears and hesitations. I found this book so inspirational. Also, the steam is *insert fire emoji*
I enjoyed this book so much. I highly recommend, especially for plus size people wanting to see themselves in a love story.

I listened to this one on audiobook. Oseman beautifully weaves together words in this story of a teenager finding their way. Oseman accurately (almost too accurately) portrays the pressures and struggles of being teenager, from friendships, love, and school. The rawness of some of the characters' emotions and mental health struggles really spoke to me.

What's not to love about Jughead? He is such a lovable character. The story is a little bit ridiculous, but is so enjoyable to read. A fast-paced read.

Jennifer Brown shares her knowledge of creating a diverse and inclusive workplace in this book. I found this to be a great introduction into creating a more inclusive place of work. This book should be read from everyone at every level within a company. There are so many great points that sound simple, but really pack a punch. This book is short, but is packed with a lot of great information.
I took away so many lessons from this book, including changes I can make in my daily life (personally and professionally) and things I need to consider on a larger scale.

I'll start this review by saying I am not a huge thriller/suspense reader. It's a semi-annual thing for me.
This book has me being extra paranoid. Swanson takes the concept of neighbor and makes you realize you don't really know your neighbors. I thought the book was slow, but the plot twists and surprises throughout made it worth it.

It can be a rarity to see yourself so clearly laid out in the pages of a book, but I saw just that in The Charm Offensive. That's why this book is so special to me. Alison created such a diverse cast of characters, including an asexual main character, which isn't something we see often in romance in fiction. The characters are so lovable and the plot keeps you hooked from the beginning.
I am not a fan of reality TV, but I was so invested in the season of the show Ever After that is being filmed throughout this story. I truly did not know how the book, or the show within the book, was going to end. The author's writing style is so easy to follow, with a good bit of steam and humor mixed in.
I will recommending this to everyone I know and cherishing this book for a long time to come!

I read a bookstagram (@literaryintersections) review that said, "White folx may not get this or like it. That's OK because it wasn't written for you." That is exactly how I feel. I respect this book and recognize it's not for me.

This was my first book in the thriller genre. And I think I am hooked.
I was on the edge of my seat for this entire book. I honestly did not know what was going to happen at the end. The descriptions and details in the book were so vivid; I felt like I was there. I can picture that rest stop perfectly in my mind. I feel like I knew the characters personally.
