I have never been this mad about a book

You can’t tell me they are the most powerful people and then end the book like that.

Omg
Apart from the end I enjoy the book of course is not for everyone, this is the type of book for someone that enjoys the TW said, and reads a lot of fanfiction

The grammar is kinda bad at the begging but it gets better

For the way is writing I would have loved  reading just fluff of Demi and Hamilton and nothing more

Benjamin writes poetry. I’m convinced he puts a lot of his soul in this pages, I’m always going to be grateful for the opportunity to read his words, his vision of the world.

This was a sad book. A book about love. And I could not stop crying while reading

One time my best friend hold my hand after picking me from work, he told me how wonderful it was to do that without others staring at you with hateful eyes.
He was the one that gifted me this book.  I Could not stop thinking about that while reading, oh how I wish I could gift him a better world in exchange.

This book will always be in my heart as much as the first one. So many word are in my heart right now

Thank you to NetGalley for a copy of this graphic novel.
For an honest review, I would say that what caught my attention to this book were the illustrations and the colors. It was an okey story but could have been better.
In the case of the plot, I would say that it is quick and cute.
The novel talks about the topics of chronic illness with blindness as a result, but also the growth of a relationship built on mutual help. But because is a short story it feels a little incomplete. I was left wondering how after the ending Marie-Jo would take her classes.
Also, I would have loved to see more about Victor, it was a disappointment not to read more of his development but I understand that he gets there at the end, just that we don’t get to see the results.
It really brings you to think about the importance of accessibility for all disabilities.
I recommend reading it if you are looking for a quick story to pass the time.

To start, this was an amazing book worth a 5 stars review.
The reason: Brooms is a book set in 1930 Mississippi, where things are not that great for magic users of color and the protagonists need to start participating in clandestine races to gain money and be safe, but the plot is so much more than that.
The amount of research and care that was put into this graphic novel is impressive. The parallelism with the history of queer people is amazing and you can sense the authors care about the topic. I am a queer of color, but not from the country this is set on, so I can’t talk a lot about the history part of the book, but I am happy to see the representation of so many people with such amazing character design.
I don’t love this novel just for the representation, all the magic and races are entertaining and I hope to read more books like this.
This graphic novel left me with so many emotions and the ending was what I hoped for.  I am thankful for the opportunity NetGalley gave me of reading this novel, it is going to be my favorite for a while.

Is a good book…but just that
If I erase the first chapters of my mind,  maybe it’s a 4 ⭐️

The final plot twists and the spice were  unnecessary in my opinion, but the rest of the book it’s pretty good, great world building
