So this book is not something I would typically choose although I love true crime and a good crime drama I normally only read fantasy! But when I saw the blurb for this book, a kick ass female member of an elite and super-secret American intelligence team racing to save the day from a madman who has stolen pounds of uranium and, with the help of an equally twisted Russian scientist, is intent on detonating a nuclear bomb somewhere in the world I just wanted to try it!
Unfortunately it just feel a bit short although I like Kori I didn't quite fall in love with her, I loved her relationship with Anya and would have liked to have seen more of there friendship rather than just random 10 seconds of flirting with men that didn't really go anywhere. I was also waiting for a big twist which didn't really happen. Although it was an ok read I won't be racing to read more of this genre

Ester has always suffered from nightmares lost in the woods and being chased by someone or something, until one day she discovers that there not just dreams but she is actually a realm walker with a prophecy that says she will be the one to end the wars and bring piece.
This book seemed right up my street, undiscovered powers, a prophecy and fairytale retelling but unfortunately it fell a bit flat for me whilst and I like the concept and the characters it just felt like something was missing and i was spending the book waiting for something to happen. Hopefully after the slight cliffhanger ending this will happen in the second book.
I also felt this book really would have benefited from trigger warnings, although I was fine some was uncomfortable and I feel this could really affect some reader

Daniel Welsh was born different—and to Daniel, to be different means to be alone. But what if he’s wrong?
I really enjoyed this book. We join Daniel as he discovers that he's not an outcast as he thinks but he's actually a Mage and his father is a famous warrior from a magical world, which Daniel accidentally gets transported to! And what a lovely magical world it was still of lots of wonderful characters. Although Daniel was the main character and I loved him it was Trinity and Finn that stole the show for me! I'll definitely continue to follow Daniel and friends on the Journey and look forward to seeing what othe magical adventures they go on

Earth has changed to a dull grey place with no sun or rain Olivia keeps having a reoccurring dream of a place more colourful they she could ever imagine! But is it really just a dream?
I felt this book had great promise but for me it just feel a bit short. I felt it bounced around a lot and I found it hard to follow.
I didn't feel particularly connected to any of the characters Olivia felt a lot younger than 15 and Switch and the others felt more like teenagers than 20somethings. I also was quite annoyed with the fact Olivias mum was abusive,no one cares and she gave a rubbish excuse at the end and it was instantly forgiven!
Unfortunately as much as I wanted to like this book it just wasn't for me
