The Protector is the second book in the brilliant Night Realm Series.
I couldn't wait to get stuck into this book after how The Watcher ended and it didn't disappoint. We got to learn more about the Night Realm and Slone's family history as well as more about the Nightlins and how they came to be! I really liked that this book also included Callum's POV and loved getting to see more of him! After another cliffhanger ending I can't wait to read book 3! So far this a great series and I would recommend it to fans of Shadow and Bones as it gave me familiar vibes!

I'm relatively new to short stories and I really enjoyed this collection! Although I didn't find any particularly scary I did enjoy the majority of them! I enjoyed how they where based on Mexican folklore and there where a few I would definitely some I would like to see as longer stories. I liked the fact that some just took 5-10 minutes to read and others where a bit longer I like just being able to pick it up and read a story no matter how long you have

After reading and enjoying the first 2 books in The Chronicles of Daniel Walsh I was excited to try another series written by the same author and although it's completely different I still enjoyed it! This series was full of adventure and mystery! I really liked a the characters and there where plenty of twists and turnsto keep you guessing and I felt a lot if research had been done around some of the historical elements. I'll definitely be reading book 2 as this one ended on a slight cliffhanger so I obviously need to know what happens next!

I really enjoyed this book! For starters it has one of my favourite tropes, the unknown power. All the characters are extremely likeable and I love seeing Juno grow into her powers! I love Chloe and how she has just taken Juno under her wing. I definitely carry on the series to see how they manage to rebuild Fairacre as well as exactly what the Queen is up to!
