This book may not be for everyone, but I resonated deeply with the experiences of the author and many of her peers she interviewed. I'll be thinking about this one for a long time.

While I found some characters interesting, the books was not what I thought it would be. Many of the characters felt underdeveloped.
Wasn't that into it. Plus didn't love the big "she's Black!" reveal. Why did that have to be a big reveal and not just part of the book to begin with?

Wasn't super engaged throughout the reading and didn't finish before the last meeting of WPLC book club discussing this book.
