This was such a a sweet read. I will say they while this is interconnected I highly recommend reading the first few books in the series, this was my first book and at times in the beginning I was completely lost with all the characters. 


Benny was so sweet and innocent definite. I really like how patient Christ was.

Definitely going to be checking out more from this autht

I have to say this was different from what I've read from Lauren with some of her recent releases but I absolutely loved it!!!! It was hilarious and I loved everything about it. Of course in true Lauren nature, she completely ruined thoughts on certain objects and I will never look at them the same. 

I've never read about about a staycation for serial unalivers but this was such a fun read. I really liked the characters, all of them honestly, and I think they are some of my favorite that she has written. The MMC is UNHINGED and dark but I mean , it's a Lauren Biel book still, did we really expect that much of a change??? 

I think this will be a book that will be a nice re-read a time or two.

I thought I loved Nash but EK giiiiirrrrllll Fox stole my heart!!!!!! He is a cinnamon role with a dash of morally grey and the way that man loves Cora, ahhhhh 🥵

Cora has been through soooo much and my heart broke for her! She was so sweet and I just wanted to wrap her up in a hug, claim her as my best friend and give her everything that she deserves in this world. 

This really had everything you could want in a book. I loved it sooo much! can't wait to see what else E.K has in store for us. The books just get better and better the more she writes, but I think Kai still has the top spot as my favorite MMC she has written yet.

This is by far my favorite book Maggie has written to date. Ramsey and Hazel are just on a different level and I'm here for all of it! This book will live rent in my head for the foreseeable future.

I loved Ramsey in the Queen City series and after Mine to Gain, I just knnnnneeewwwwww I needed his book like my next breath and I was so happy to know that his would be next. I figured that Ramsey had a bit of a past based on the lengths that he went to in Mine to Gain but the is sooooo soooo much more. 

Hazel, Hazel Hazel, giiiiiiiirrrrrllll I love you!! She learns that she is still married to Ramsey while engaged to another man. So her reaction to Ramsey being back was not that great especially after she was left crushed and broken hearted when Ramsey left to join the NFL. Such a strong FMC and I loved how she made Ramsey work so hard to win her back.

The characters were absolutely amazing! I loved the plot, the setting, pretty much everything about this book! This was a new direction Maggie went in and it absolutely delivered. ABSOLUTE BANGER!!!!

😭😭😭😭 Bella, ma'am we need words, how dare you do that to us. this put me through a rollercoaster of emotions and from like 90% and on I was a sobbing mess. From someone who went through something similar it was handled beautifully!!

These two are EVERYTHING!! They have stolen the top spot as favorite couple for me. I dont know what it is about them but they had the perfect amount of everything. The tension in the beginning, the angst, the passion and chemistry don't even get me started on that 😮‍💨 I loved everything about these two. 

They complimented each other so well. Both headstrong and determined but they were there for each other when it truly mattered (well after Callen came to his senses 🤣) I think their bond from their years and years long friendship really solidified their relationship even more. 

I think I have said it after every Bella book but I don't know how she will top these characters. They just get better and better. I can't wait for the rest in this series!!

These two were the definition of enemies to lovers and I loved every bit of it. The tension, the passion, challenging each other but then opening up and becoming vulnerable with each other with the same intensity. 

Jesse and Sebastian have been at battle with each other since they came into each other lives when they were younger. Challenging each other and one upping the other. Over the years the animosity seemed to get stronger until one day it just flipped and they were all over each other and couldn't keep their hands to each other. 

I really loved everyone in this book. The push and pull between these two was hot, the side characters were amazing and I can't wait to see what else this series has to offer.

Abby is soooo sweet. She's fierce but in her own way. Shy but outspoken at times. She was looking for a nanny job but made a horrible first impression with the hot single dad Nick, the next time she runs into him, she makes a lasting impression flashing him and the whole neighborhood all of her goodies while trying to save Hazel.

I really enjoyed these two and how they skirted their feelings for so long until they just couldn't any longer. Their connection was amazing and their chemistry was off the charts. 

Hazel made quite the impression everytime she made an appearance. She was so happy and sweet. Loved how Abby treated her so well and they made such a great duo.

This was so cute. These two have known each other pretty much their whole life and have been the best of friends. I loved their connection and how open they were with each at all times. 

I will say that I immediately knew who M was once everything started to happen. You don't just introduce a new character over half way through the book that won't have significant importance, so that was a little bit of a let down. I feel like maybe if they were introduced in the beginning and had more of a role in the story it wouldn't have been so obvious. 

Looking forward to the next book in the series.

Holy 😯 I don't even know where to start with this review. There was so much going on that it had my jaw dropping open in shock for the majority of the book. 

My heart hurts for these two so much. Everything they went through especially Atticus 😭 the things that he went through turned him into such a cold, violent man.... but the island and what happened he did there, it was PERFECT for his revenge on what happened to him!!! 

As the story went on and Constance got some memories back and Atticus thought back to the past, my jaw dropped and there were times that I thought I had it figured out but was wrong and thrown another curveball. 

This is definitely extremely dark and has A LOT of triggers, please make sure to check them out before diving into this, you're mental health matters!

I was so excited for this book. The blurb had me sold. Even after the last few in the series left me not enjoying it and wanting more. I went into this book with an open mind and ready to enjoy this one. 

While I really felt for Aiden and everything he went through and wanted to wrap him in a hug and never left go. Half the time I wanted to shake the crap out of him but looking at how his mother is, I understand it. Also I COULD NOT stand his mother and wanted to reach into the book and punch her. 

There was a lot of tension, a lot of angst but also their connection was undeniable. They fought extremely hard for their HEA. 

With all that said, like the last few books this one just didn't hit the mark for me. There were times that I rolledy eyes, felt myself wanting to skim over parts and things that felt forced or brushed over. I was left wanting more.
