3.5 ⭐️ on the fence of rounding up or down for this one. I didn't 100% hate it but didn't love it either, somewhere in between for sure.

Lora's world is on the verge of ending.....again. She decides to leave the world she has always know behind and go to the magik world even though she's always been told that it is a evil bad place. While there she needs a bodyguard, in comes Ghurston. She finds out that he is a higher being and things begin to get interesting between them.

I really liked the concept of this but I just could not connect with the characters or the world they were in. Even with it only being the first in a series, if I connect with characters or the world setting it would be by the end of the first book and this one I just couldn't. There were several parts that felt extremely rushed. There are also a lot of things left unexplained but it is only first in the series so hopefully they will be explained in later books.

Dutton is a city boy but finds himself back in the smalltown of Hayes after inheriting his grandmothers house and land after her passing. After his grandmother disowned him when he was younger, he vowed to spruce the place up and sell it. That is until Walker comes barreling into his life, completely changing his outlook on everything.

Walker had 6 months to prove to Dutton that his life now belongs in Hayes and with him. Walker is a smalltown country boy through and through and shows Dutton what the smalltown has to offer as well as opening up himself. I really enjoyed watching these two open up to each other and the support that Dutton had being new to the town was incredible. 

This was a short read but it was perfect for their story. The pacing was just right for their romance and it was low angst. I cant wait to see what else this series has to offer

this was a cute quick read. i love a good paranormal romance. i really like penn and cam and how accepting penn was with cam even in his full form, horns and all. low angst as well which was nice

Once Drake bumped into Cassidy who was his childhood crush, after retiring from baseball he knew she was the one. He came on soooo strong, like he knew she was it and he was doing anything and everything he could to convince her of this. 

Cassidy has a lot on her plate but I loved how she was willing to let herself live a little with Drake and give him a chance. I really really loved how Drake immediately took to her twins, Kenzie and Charlie, and treated them so well, no questions or doubts or anything. 

You can't help but love Drake and Cassidy. They have such a great connection and their banter is top tier. Add in the twins "Mac and Cheese" it was made for a great story!!

This reminded me so much of the TV show Supernatural but if Sam and Dean got together. The imagery was fantastic and the read kept you invested to the end. I felt that the way it ended left the possibilities for more from these two and I wouldn't be mad at that.

We've gotten some glimpses of Riot throughout several books in the series but his previous appearances did him no justice. That man has soooo many layers to him. He's sweet when needed, possessive AF, has the biggest heart and will do anything for the ones he loves. 

I loved Halo instantly, she's fun, confident, holds her own  but sweet as can be and has a heart of gold. There was an instant connection for them and their chemistry, off the chain 🥵 They both have some past trauma but they are there for each other when they need it the most. 

I just knew I was going to love these two. I swear this series just gets better and better with each book. I CAN NOT wait for Manny's book next, and those tropes 😮‍💨 it's going to be gooooooddd

I really enjoy this series so much. I loved Omari instantly. He is such a kind, gentle soul, no matter his situation he always tries to see the best in things. The things that he went through, both when he was a child and as he got older was heartbreaking. 

Prez, such a tough man but given the circumstances and the environment, it was to be expected but underneath it all, he is such a softie and I loved watching him come out of his shell little by little. 

I cant wait for more in this series, I have a few ideas of couple pairings so I'm excited to see if I'm right.

These three, these three were absolutely perfect for each other. Melina was the missing piece that Cade and Declan didn't even know they needed. Each one added so much to their relationship, Declan with his extreme protective side and filthy mouth, Cade with his flirty ways but also a sensitive side and Melina who had the strength to bring them together, past their fears and the glue they all needed. The dynamic when all three of them were together 🫣🥵 HOOOOTT

I really enjoyed watching their relationship develop, both individually and together as a trio. The growth of the characters was incredible, I can't say enough great things about each of these characters. Also I really love the dynamics and the appearance of the Langfield family and they are still absolutely hilarious.

I CAN NOT wait for War's book next to see what happens from the little glimpses we got of him in this book!
