What an enjoyable and engaging read this is with two wonderful main characters in Matteo and Dean. They have been together, without it being common knowledge, for a few years but their relationship faces new challenges when they drive for the same F1 team.

It’s not just the constant media obligations but also the new emotions that arise when competing against each other whilst in the same team. Some jealousy and their competitive natures having them both wanting to win as well as outside pressures and internal doubts arising. Fortunately they both know and appreciate the importance of communication so nothing derails their relationship.

This is a beautiful love story between two men fully committed to each other who just so happen to be ranked amongst the best in the high octane world of Formula 1 racing. When you include plenty of side characters to keep things interesting, lots of steam and a heartwarming ending I couldn’t help but enjoy every moment of Matteo and Deans story.

It’s book 4 in the Big Bull Mechanics series and Auggie finally gets his HEA. It’s all his ever wanted, someone he can love and be loved in return. After watching so many of his friends find their life partner it hits home so much harder what he’s missing and desperately wants. Henry has had his life turned upside down and inside out and doesn’t really know who he is anymore.

Circumstances bring these two very likeable characters together and the chemistry between them sizzles and steams immediately. The physical side of their relationship is not an issue, it’s the navigation of the emotions that each man causes in the other that needs to be navigated. Fortunately Auggie and Henry are mature men who know how to communicate so there’s no major obstacles to their HEA. Just Henry basically getting over himself and embracing the man he is now and realising that he’s just the man Auggie wants.

There’s plenty of banter and puns that had me giggling, lots of steam, a pot belied pig that I just wanted to kidnap and a beautiful romance between two wonderful and deserving men. Also a few new side characters are introduced and here’s hoping they get their stories told.

4.5 stars.

I wasn’t sure how the author could convince me to like the psychopathic vampire Wolfgang but I shouldn’t have worried, the story telling ability of Grae Bryan had me loving this selfish possessive vampire.

His fated mate is the equally flawed Eric who is just full of insecurities. He has a bit of a reputation but he’s just desperate to be liked and to find someone who just wants to care for him and thinks he’s enough. Add in touch starved, lonely and low self esteem to the mix and the neuroses keep adding up. Fortunately fate chose to match these two wonderful men and after a rather inauspicious start the connection between them develops and strengthens, with plenty of steamy times, as they navigate their way to an eternal HEA.

Wolfgang gets to experience never before felt emotions and Eric gets to finally experience being cared for. They had my emotions going from feeling heart sore for Eric and his upbringing to laughing at their interactions. I enjoyed watching the growth of Eric once he was allowed to become what he’s wanted to be, not what he was expected to be and how he was able to ever so slightly soften Wolfgang’s ever so sharp edges. I also loved having the characters from previous books popping in to add to this interesting and engaging plot.

I fell in love with the very prickly, very bitter, very argumentative and always grouchy Nick. He’s also intelligent with a razor sharp wit and is twelve years younger than 44 year old Martin who came to Copper Springs after a medical event that lead him to re-evaluating his life. Their beginning was not easy but very slowly and with the patience of a saint, Martin soon gets to know Nick better and understands why he’s like he is. He understands and fully accepts Nick for the person he is whilst Nick begins to learn what it’s like to feel content and even happy. I really enjoyed the grumpiness of Nick and the smiles and joy from him that only Martin got to see as well as the bit of banter they shared.

As the romance develops so does the overarching storyline of the murder from book one. A couple of events are added to the plot that add further to the intrigue with many questions still remaining.

A found this to be a well balanced enjoyable read that kept me turning the pages. Nick and Martin are great main characters and some side characters are introduced to keep things interesting. The town side characters are all there to provide entertainment and also some of my favourite tropes - opposites attract, sunshine/grumpy, small town romance, age gap and to top it all off, only one bed!

There’s a fine line between love and hate.

After a night together when they were teenagers Kurt and Gio have had nothing but animosity between them. Fate brings them back in each others orbit as opposing F1 Team Principals many years later and time hasn’t healed anything. Old hurts still feel fresh with anger, animosity and dislike their main way to communicate. The chemistry that sizzled years ago hasn’t abated at all leading to some volatile steamy scenes fuelled by hurt and anger.

Only when their destructive habits are pointed out are they able to navigate their way to a healthier relationship that includes some sweet tenderness with some very light newly discovered kink. It’s not easy as both need to remain closeted and continue the pretence of a feud between them but as time passes they concentrate on taking baby steps towards their HEA.

This was another enjoyable and engaging read from this author with two strong but flawed main characters that finally found their happiness together. The side characters help keep things interesting as does the F1 setting. I especially enjoyed the social media posts at the start of each chapter!

A well written murder mystery with plenty of plot twists to keep you engaged. Great cast of main and secondary characters with a slow burn romance, a bit of heat and a very rewarding storyline that keeps you turning the pages.
