I wasn’t sure how the author could convince me to like the psychopathic vampire Wolfgang but I shouldn’t have worried, the story telling ability of Grae Bryan had me loving this selfish possessive vampire.

His fated mate is the equally flawed Eric who is just full of insecurities. He has a bit of a reputation but he’s just desperate to be liked and to find someone who just wants to care for him and thinks he’s enough. Add in touch starved, lonely and low self esteem to the mix and the neuroses keep adding up. Fortunately fate chose to match these two wonderful men and after a rather inauspicious start the connection between them develops and strengthens, with plenty of steamy times, as they navigate their way to an eternal HEA.

Wolfgang gets to experience never before felt emotions and Eric gets to finally experience being cared for. They had my emotions going from feeling heart sore for Eric and his upbringing to laughing at their interactions. I enjoyed watching the growth of Eric once he was allowed to become what he’s wanted to be, not what he was expected to be and how he was able to ever so slightly soften Wolfgang’s ever so sharp edges. I also loved having the characters from previous books popping in to add to this interesting and engaging plot.
