This is such a wonderful, well written and engaging read.
Seth and Cohen are both so adorable, both confused about their sexuality and both on a dating app talking to each other, without realising that they know one another. The banter back and forth in their messaging was at times hilarious and that banter continues once they get together.
Their relationship is a bit of a slow burn as they try to find the labels that best suit them and it’s such a joy witnessing the connection that they build together. That connection becomes chemistry which eventually ignites and things become very steamy between them.
A small dash of angst doesn’t derail them and their HEA and the the journey to it had me smiling constantly.
Foster and Zach (book 1) are an integral piece of Seth’s story, Jacob and Beck (book 2) make appearances and an interesting new side character, Asher, is introduced. I can’t wait for his story next!

This is a beautifully written story that flows along seamlessly with two adorable main characters and a great cast of side characters to keep things interesting.
Casey and Ethan have been best friends since childhood so they know everything about each other, flaws and all. Because of their easy affection and the way they care for and lookout for each other, they are often mistakenly thought to be a couple.
When circumstances lead them to become fake boyfriends the nature of their relationship changes.
This a very enjoyable low angst, low heat, sweet romance with no huge drama to derail Casey and Ethan from their HEA. It left me smiling!

Fun, enjoyable read.

I did enjoy this fun, low angst opposites attract story with Ollie and Graham.
Ollie is a sassy, snarky twink who likes to party hard and hook up. Graham is a studious, introvert librarian with social anxiety and not much experience.
After a less than stellar initial meeting, these two manage to get together despite Ollie’s
self imposed New Years resolution.
This is a well written low heat, low angst dual POV sweet romance that made me feel happy for them both.

4.5 stars. Wonderful modern adaptation.

This original modern adaptation of Emma by Jane Austen certainly remains faithful to the book that inspired it. It had me fully hooked from the very beginning and I couldn’t put it down - a one sitting read.
Lake cannot help himself with his non stop meddling, is quite dramatic, is in complete self denial and can be hurtful at times but the writing ability of this author redeemed him. Knight is older, sensible, patient and has an inordinate amount of empathy for others. Between them is a unmistakable current of sexual tension and buckets of mutual pining which after a long slow burn is enacted upon.
The main characters are supported by a very interesting and, at times, slightly eccentric cast of side characters. Harry is just adorable and I wanted to give him all the big squishy hugs, after I wiped a tear from my eye.
This is a very enjoyable slow burn with some feels, a dash of angst and lots of witty banter. I highly recommend it.

This offering from Annabella Michaels covers quite a few tropes. There’s fake boyfriend, opposites attract, holiday fling and only one bed!
Shaw is an uptight surly man with absolutely no work/life balance. Kieron is pretty much the opposite, outgoing and full of cheer and knows that there’s more to life than just working.
Circumstances have them going on Shaw’s work retreat as boyfriends. The majority of the week goes fine until the end where a conflict nearly upsets the journey to their HEA.
I enjoyed these characters overall. We do get to learn why Shaw is like he is but I wish Kieron’s character development had been fleshed out some more.
This is a nice quick easy and enjoyable read. Great way to fill in a couple of hours.

3.5 stars.

Low angst fluffy age gap, best friends son. Did skim over some parts where it didn’t hold my attention but I found it to be a great “brain cleanser” between heavier books.

Sweet with heat

This is an enjoyable, low angst, easy to read age gap romance with a dash of kink thrown in.
Levi, an adorable barista and Joe, a bear of an electrician, are two very loveable main characters who come together at the Bold Brew coffee shop.
There’s wonderful chemistry between them and they begin to explore certain areas of that together. This leads to many steam filled moments as they jointly discover what they truly need.
The road to their HEA doesn’t include any real major conflict and this makes for a very enjoyable and engaging read.
I’m looking forward to more in the multi author Bold Brew series.
