Once again the crew from Wellstone Private Investigators find themselves involved in a case that involves plenty of mayhem.
Cassel has been crushing on policeman Jeremy (Jerebear) for months without making any progress. It may be his rather unfortunate wooing skills and/or the fact that Jeremy is pretty oblivious to it all. Circumstances finally have them working together and so begins all sorts of mayhem as they bring down the bad guys.
Naturally Leland, Jackson and Henry are along for the ride ensuring lots of hilarity involving silks and spandex, Leland’s armoury, Fred the possible serial killer and car chases.
I laughed out loud on too many occasions to count whilst reading this very enjoyable and engaging book. The romance is low heat and focuses more on the development of the relationship between Cassel and Jeremy who both have parts of their lives that remain hidden for a reason. They are wonderfully developed characters and I cheered them on from beginning to end where Cassel finally got his longed for HEA with Jeremy.
This is book one in the Former Assassins Guide Book series and I can’t wait for more.

Enjoyable holiday read.
All of the characters from the Rossingley series are together at the estate for Christmas.
Freddie’s father Charles is up from London and is somewhat depressed about what the future holds for him. All that changes when he meets the very handsome George at one of the estate get togethers.
This is a lovely novella about two mature men finding each other, developing a connection and exploring the possibilities of what could be growing between them.
It’s a minimal angst, low heat Christmas read with an ending that finds happiness for all.

A sweet slow burn.
Maddie and Reid are such sweet likeable characters. Reid is a young, innocent and geeky professor and Maddie is his popular and charming student. Reid is socially awkward and doesn’t understand social cues. Circumstances lead to Maddie teaching him and so begins their slow burn romance. The attraction between them has a couple of hurdles to negotiate but after a dash of angst they do get their HEA.

This is an enjoyable age gap, grumpy/sunshine guy read. Gabriel is a very grumpy professor and Benji is his always full of sunshine and rainbows TA. The chemistry between them is almost instant and it is sizzling so it’s not too long before the steam begins. This is a high heat read with some family drama to add a bit of angst but a HEA is assured. The cast of side characters keep things interesting - especially the villains of the plot!
Lots and lots of feels.
Another wonderfully written book from this talented author. The plot, the pacing that kept me turning the pages, the strongly developed characters. All these elements combined to give us a beautiful romance between two very loveable men, with undeniable chemistry and steamy heat thrown in for good measure.
Desi and Wyatt certainly have what appears to be insurmountable mountains in the path of their HEA but the author weaves magic with her story telling ability and delivers one of the most heartfelt romances I’ve read. Obstacles mean that there’s angst and heartbreak but there’s also forgiveness and love and so many feels requiring so many tissues. My heart was stretched to the limit and then repaired so many times before I was left with the biggest of smiles at the end.
A fantastic instalment in the Rebel Sky Ranch series with a hint at who had their stories told next and I can’t wait for more.
