Wonderful start to a new series.
The writing style of Becca Seymour just gels with me. I enjoyed this sweet with heat romance for many reasons. The “coming out for you” plot line was engaging and flowed along seamlessly. Nate and Ryan are so very likeable and I enjoyed cheering them on from the sidelines. From former besties, to friends, to boyfriends with a well deserved HEA that required negotiation and communication before it eventuates. The connection between them was always there, it just needed the right time and circumstances to spark. Along the way they dropped some feels on me and left me smiling.
The cast of side characters all played their role in keeping things interesting and we are left with the quickest of glimpses of who may get their story told next, and I can’t wait!

Fen and Rami are work colleagues at the Manchester prison and are on the cusp of exploring their connection to each other further when circumstances drive them apart for 18 months.
Fen, the former prison officer, is such a gentle, soft hearted soul who finds himself back at his childhood home on Christmas Mountain. Rami is a probation officer who is blunt, not afraid to swear and burdened by the unexpected changes in his life. So much so that he impulsively decides to visit his sister who, unbeknownst to him is a neighbour to Fen.
So begins a beautifully written slow burn romance between two wonderful characters who unexpectedly get a second chance to explore the chemistry between them. It is not an easy, straightforward journey for them with some angst and drama before their longed for HEA is achieved in this enjoyable and engaging Christmas romance.

4.5 stars. This is such a sensitively written story that flows along at just the right pace to keep you engaged and turning the pages.
Jamie and Stephen are both very likeable characters who were the best of friends as kids. Years later they reconnect and their friendship hasn’t waned even though things have changed and they’ve had 13 years apart.
Jamie is now in a wheelchair and Stephen has returned to Boston to work with his father and leave an abusive relationship behind in California.
This is a slow burn romance without drama or angst and it’s very sweet. Jamie’s sunshiney happiness is an absolute joy and gradually Stephen begins to leave behind his glass half empty look on life. After they start to date the heat levels rise and so does their commitment to each other, ensuring a delightful HEA.
A wonderful light enjoyable read that left me smiling.

The solving of this very old cold case is a mystery with more to it than meets the eye.
With a villainous reanimated ghost from the Revolutionary War things certainly get complicated for the West Side Detectives and their psychics. Ronan and Tennyson’s separate cases very quickly merge after realising they are looking for the same ghost. So begins the twist and turns of the mystery and once again the resolution took me by surprise. All of the characters from West Side Detectives and West Side Magick play their part with a bit of assistance from the other side.
Another thoroughly engaging and engrossing instalment in the series with a wonderfully original and interesting plot that kept me turning the pages. I adored the epilogue with all of the kids in their Halloween costumes!
