4.5 stars. This is such a sensitively written story that flows along at just the right pace to keep you engaged and turning the pages.
Jamie and Stephen are both very likeable characters who were the best of friends as kids. Years later they reconnect and their friendship hasn’t waned even though things have changed and they’ve had 13 years apart.
Jamie is now in a wheelchair and Stephen has returned to Boston to work with his father and leave an abusive relationship behind in California.
This is a slow burn romance without drama or angst and it’s very sweet. Jamie’s sunshiney happiness is an absolute joy and gradually Stephen begins to leave behind his glass half empty look on life. After they start to date the heat levels rise and so does their commitment to each other, ensuring a delightful HEA.
A wonderful light enjoyable read that left me smiling.
