3.5 stars. I enjoyed this but felt it was a bit rushed. The main characters were great and their romance felt very instalove, sweet, and with no major drama to threaten it. I really just would of liked the plot and characters to be fleshed out a bit more.
Very enjoyable read.
This is the third book in the series but can be read as a standalone. Once again the author has gifted us with a well written small town romance that’s an absolute joy to read. The likeable main characters, Dylan and Cole, have lots of layers to them and side characters from the previous books pop in to play their part.
Dylan and Cole have an instant urgent attraction towards each other and the sizzling heat level is testament to that chemistry.
Unfortunately Cole is keeping a huge secret that could mean Dylan losing his inn which has been in the family for generations. Things come to a head when Dylan learns that secret from someone other than Cole. It’s a major bump in their romance but it’s doesn’t stop them from getting a well earned HEA.
I found this to be an engaging, enjoyable read with a dash of angst mixed with some feels and it really made me want to visit this wonderful coastal small town.

3.75 stars. A quick easy read/listen. Bart and Taylor have known each other for a while and finally get together on a cruise. I did think there’d be more lingerie in play and the mild kink does accelerate very quickly. There’s not a lot of depth to this story, just fun kink for the main characters who get together on a cruise in rather unbelievable circumstances.
This well crafted book offers so much. Well developed characters, smooth flow and perfect pacing to keep me turning the pages and a suspense plot as an overall story arc.
Henley and Levar want a relationship but can’t due to conflict of interest. Unfortunately for them, they just can’t stay away from each other, have buckets of chemistry sparking between them, enjoy engaging in witty flirtatious banter and share lots of feels. When they do manage to get together the heat levels rise and this may be assisted by the wearing of sexy lingerie by one of them. They have some major hurdles to overcome but they do get their well earned HEA.
There’s also plenty of interesting side characters that add to the storyline and I look forward to future books in the series. I can’t wait to see who’s up next and to explore further the suspense plot.
This was an engaging, amazing read that I couldn’t put down. Yes, politics do play a role in this (more as an aside) as it is set in the White House, but it’s the romance between Henley and Levar that takes centre stage.
