BRILLIANT!

Once again Alice Winters has written another fantastic instalment of Jackson and Leland’s adventures. I was laughing from the first page and couldn’t put the book down. It was a one sitting read.
Leland’s favourite pastime time, still, is bugging Jackson. The dialogue between the two had me snorting. There is wit, sarcasm, snark and moments of absolute love and tenderness.
As they fall into another adventure filled with twists and turns, Leland is having “emotions”. Something he is not able to process without the use of jokes. He is still ridiculous and socially clueless, silly and smart and Jackson just adores him as he is. Jackson knows how Leland deals with those pesky emotions and willingly plays along.
I loved Leland’s interpretation of the conversations he had with others just being using their eyes and Caveman Sasquatch is something you really need to experience for yourself!
There really was everything in this book. Comedy, action, steam and lots of feels. I highly recommend this and the first book in the series.

When your past haunts your present.

Oh boy, did Max and Lane (Sparkles) have a rough road to their HEA when drama from Lane’s past arrives in Haven Hart.
We do get to see that there’s a lot more to Max than just being the bar manager/player at Joker’s Sin and through all the troubles, he’s a much needed rock for Lane. These two wonderful men have always snarked at each other and it was great watching that dynamic evolve into a romance with sweet and tender moments combined with high heat moments.
The suspenseful plot line and well developed characters totally hooked me in and it became a one sitting read.
The Joker’s Sin family all had their parts to play and I’m really looking forward to the next in the series. This can be read as a standalone but I’d encourage you to read book 1 for a fuller experience of this universe.

Such an incredible read!

Jay Hogan certainly knows how to write a superbly crafted story with fantastic character development and perfect pacing to keep you fully engaged from the first page.
Adrian and Niall are both such beautifully flawed loveable grumps whose connection to each other was undeniable and once they gave into those sparks, the heat levels hit high. They had me laughing at times and I couldn’t help but cheer them on.
The plot did take me by surprise on occasion with some unexpected turns, but after a bumpy road, Adrian and Niall got their HEA. It was a delight watching the way they grew individually and together to get there.
This is the third book in the series and characters from previous instalments do make appearances.
I cannot fault this book in any way, it’s a truly wonderful read and I highly recommend it and the series.

In this instalment of the Hells Ankhor series Tex and Jazz get their story told.
I liked how they went from best friends growing up together to brothers in arms at the club to finally lovers. It took them some time to find their way but they eventually got their HEA. A few hurdles had to be jumped, and some miscommunication occurred, but nothing derailed their romance once it started. It was also nice to see the conclusion to an overall story arc from the previous books.
A very enjoyable read and we’re left with the promise of another to come.

This is the first in The Kings : Wild Cards series which is a spin off from The Four Kings Security series and what a fantastic beginning it is.
As a backdrop to Jack and Fitz’s romance you get lots of drama, action, explosions, a sneaky relentless stalker, creative use of a helicopter and of course, all the shenanigans of the Four Kings Security chosen family.
The well crafted writing style along with the interesting plot kept me turning the pages desperately wanting to know what was going to happen next. I loved watching Jack and Fitz together, their chemistry is through the roof with lots of super hot moments mixed with super sweet, touching moments.
I couldn’t help but laugh out loud when words such as “SWAT Barbie” appeared and at the antics of some of the team members.
This was a throughly enjoyable book and I can’t wait for the next in the series -
Frank and Joshua’s story.

Absolutely adored this book. So many feels, so much sass and snark. Extremely well written and perfectly paced with characters who are believable, likeable and very well developed. A book that will go into my reread pile.

3.75 stars.... Sweet rockstar/nerd romance.

This was a lovely, short and sweet enjoyable read with minimal angst and two very likeable main characters who let their chemistry simmer quietly for a while before taking things further.
The good looking and charismatic Ed owns a cafe and is the lead singer of a popular local rock band. Dean is a quiet, cute nerd about to begin his final semester of studies. Their paths cross at the cafe and so begins a tale of a sweet romance, interesting family dynamics and asks the question of just how far a person would go to ensure their future. There is a bit going on plot wise but that doesn’t stop Ed and Dean from getting their HEA.
