Fantastic writing. I disliked and loved April so much, in turn, throughout this novel. Poor Andy, who wanted to do good, and be April's friend, and yes, probably cash in on the success. I am not internet famous, nor do I want to be internet famous, but I could feel myself getting so angry at April for her choices but also understanding them completely. She was motivated by something she could really describe, and her choices were complicated.
I LOVED the Sci-fi aspects of the novel - Carl is a fantastic character on his own. I can't wait to see how his story continues.
That ending....perfect.

I have forgotten how important it is as a teacher to read books from kid's perspectives. I think Benjamin did a great job of showing what grief can look like to a pre-teen. It was interesting to begin to see Suzy as an unreliable narrator after really feeling like she was mature at the start. But she wasn't - she was 12.
I highly recommend this book, and it was a quick and easy listen on Audible!
