Mamrie Hart is one of the funniest people in the world. I have never laughed actually out loud while reading a book, much less a non-fiction one, than during You Deserve a Drink. Tbh - in real life she would probably be too much for me. But to watch and read from afar? I am obsessed with her ridiculous and crazy life.

My first graphic novel! These are definitely going to be my new fast read books. This was so cute and fun. Loved the illustrations and the quick and fun story! Will definitely be immediately ordering book 2.

Things I bought into:

Order of tidying
Method of tidying (take everything out at once)
Touching each item and asking if it brings you joy
Storage solutions (vertical storage)

Things I did not buy into:

Talking to my home
Talking to my possessions and telling them thank you for their service

Also, it frustrates me that she emphasized so much decluttering and getting rid of stuff but didn't stress the importance of donating when possible. She talked about people throwing out 50-100 trash bags but didn't once mention donating them to a shelter. How wasteful.

That being said, I'm excited to start the process on my home this summer, beginning with my clothes and books. I'm hopeful for what tidying can do for me.

This was really 3.5 stars for me, but I rounded up because I just adore Carrie. I feel that this book could have benefited from some heavy editing. I know it started as a blog, and it read like a blog in that it felt very flow of consciousness without cutting sentences down shorter where they could have been. I liked the short, quick chapters. I felt that I would have loved this book in 9th or 10th grade, so I hope the kids that need it, read it!

I loved this. Only my second graphic novel ever and what an amazing story! Love the art. Love the lack of distinct gender identities. Can't wait to see what comes next.

Not my favorite volume so far, but I loved getting the back stories on most of the gods.

Wow, definitely unique! I really liked how the story seemed so silly at times yet throughout the book serious subjects jumped out at you. Great read for any age.

Hmm, while I loved the premise of an Outlander Graphic Novel, I wasn't overly impressed by the illustrations. And Gabaldon addressed in a written interview at the end that it would be impossible to meet everyone's expectations of what they imagine the characters to look like, but Jamie especially was just too 'pretty.' And Claire too bosom-y.

I adore this series. Kittens for everyone!
