I love hedgehogs, and neglected to read the inside cover before jumping into the book, which proved to be pretty confusing.

I can see why this book won the Caldecott. I actually learned a bit too about which animals hibernate and which fly south and which just hang out in the winter. Pretty illustrations and I loved that the text didn't baby the reader.

A book that makes you go, awwww.

My favorite children's book so far this year. Gorgeous illustrations and beautiful storytelling.

I'm not quite sure why, but I imagine I would have loved this book as a child.

I can't believe I hadn't read this before. Perfect book for a kindergarten or 1st grade program.
