Another book I flew through. This book shows off some great writing. Maybe not so much the actual syntax, but the techniques are fantastic and keep you tucked right in to the story. 3 unreliable narrators, all of which find a way to improve themselves (although for one it was too late). Fast paced and interesting. Would recommend to anyone!
Cute and exactly what Miranda would put in a book. Take it for what it is.
I wish I had liked this book more than I did. It felt much too long. Some of the chapters seemed especially contrived and had more info than actually necessary just in order to create the acronym. I love Grace's humor and personality. Unfortunately I didn't enjoy how it translated into text. Still going to read her Style Guide.
A satisfying end to a unique series. I feel that unique isn't a strong enough word for what Riggs created, but that's what I've got. The first half of this book took me a really long time to read...there wasn't enough plot happening for me. Once we reached Bentham's house and learned about the Panloopticon I was hooked and flew to the end. And speaking of the end, the last few chapters dragged along, and then the final few pages seemed to rush to a happy conclusion. Seemed a little strange, but did leave me happy so I can't complain too much. I'm intrigued to see where Riggs will go next with his writing. More photographs? Or something new?
Sometimes the simplest stories are the best. I can remember reading this book when I was little and loving the part when he puts the snowball in his pocket.
Listened to again (Neil Gaiman narrating) on Christmas Eve 2015. Wonderful and funny.
Such a very important book for women and for everyone. This book gave me a thought of thoughts and feelings. Very much of it I agreed with in such a way that I have already noticed myself thinking and behaving a speaking differently. A bit of it I disagreed with, but only in the sense that Valenti can be so aggressive with her beliefs. Very very important.
