Continues to be a very refreshing take on Carol - her life, her choices, her struggles. Star seemed a little exaggeratedly evil, but I suppose it is a comic book after all...

Kelly Thompson continuing to hit us with masterpiece storylines. Loved this mini journey for Carol. 

I LOVED this story. Probably my favorite Captain Marvel arc yet. So intriguing, exciting, and just really well done. Kelly Thompson, you are my new fave!

3 stars til the last 2 issues which were 5 stars. Loved the video game progression. Cute and great middle grade Captain Marvel story. 

Almost all the fun of Ms Marvel with none of the heart. Hinted at previous plot points with Bruno and her friends but just let them drop. No family storyline which is so important to Kamala’s character. All action, very rushed, very unsatisfying especially as this was supposed to be a comic starting point for Kamala as she was introduced to the MCU. Really disappointing.

I tried. I just couldn’t. It was too dark. Extremely well designed and executed, but too dark. I saw child death as a moderate TW and thought I’d be fine but I couldn’t get past that scene. 

Fantastically original, quirky, and heartfelt. I loved the format and the ending was perfection. 

The story is getting more and more slippery. This zone didn’t intrigue me. 

Lovely story and incredible character writing. Pacing was….odd. I think with better or at least more consistent pacing I would have given this 5 stars. I loved the mythology and the magic system and I loved the relationships, but would have liked a bit more about the other people in this immortal plane. How long have they been alive, what do they do with themselves if they’re not royal, how did they become immortal? I’m very interested to see where book 2 takes the story! 

My favorite Marvel arc in ages! So original and interesting.
