This graphic memoir is about a traumatic event that happened to the author, but more so about how her brain and body reacted to the trauma. I found the story telling captivating and honest.

The Anthropocene Reviewed by John Green is a thoughtful collection of essays in which Green reviews different aspects of the world we live in today. He ends each essay by rating the topic on a five star scale.
From gingko trees, to Canada geese, to hot dog eating contests, the essays have a wide range of topics. They admittedly sometimes seem silly and/or boring at first glance, but you can always count on Green to make even the simplest of things seem significant. It makes you want to pause and notice what you're noticing more often
Maybe I'm biased as I've been reading his books and watching his YouTube videos since I was 13 or so, but nonetheless, I give the Anthropocene Reviewed 5 stars.
