Eric Walters has a gift for writing. This book was harsh but so beautifully written that it didn't seem hopeless. Some parts were little too long but otherwise a good novel.

This book lost me. The writing was choppy and it was difficult to follow the plot.

A really good novel with very distinct characters. The writing is down to earth and the plot progression is well executed.

I really liked the concept of this novel but the plot and character development were all over the place. It was very hard to follow what was going on and it all felt a but unnatural. But otherwise a nice book for middle graders.

This books had potential but at times it seemed repetitive and whiny. The "twist" felt really out of place.

Unfortunately, only half of the characters in this novel seemed fleshed out. It had an amazing plot but a unlikely set of characters.

I read this book really quickly which may account for a lot of my confusion. The narration of this book is difficult to follow but I tend to read books fast so that may be my fault. Otherwise an engaging plot line and interesting characters.

An amazing novel. I was worried that with "top secret organization" the concept would be rushed or unrealistic but the amount of detail put into the novel is perfect. I wasn't bored but it wasn't too fast either. A great first novel for the series.

I love how real the characters are even with the unlikely concept of the novel. The plot is thrilling and fast paced, the writing straight to the point. A great thriller.

I read this book a few year ago and reread it recently. Its such a well written book even though I'm a lot older than the intended demographic. I was engrossed until the very last page.
