I listened to the audiobooks and really enjoyed it! Especially because half of the book is told via a podcast it did not really feel like a typical audiobook!
However, I do think Sadie is not the most relateable character since some of her actions I did not 100% understand. Nonetheless, I really wanted to find out how her story ended.
Overall, I would definitely recommend it, of you want to find out what happened to Sadie and her sister along with the podcast guy (of whom I forgot the name of, sorry! :D)

I listened to the audiobook for this one. I so have to say, in the end it was quite interesting to find out what happened. Thought the story however, I did have difficulty following who's story I was currently listening to (maybe due to the similar names, maybe just because of the audiobook). Also, I didn't think this book was particularly thrilling but rather a mystery. which is not bad per se but the mystery itself was quite a slow burn I thought.
I was hoping to get a good glimpse of Lisa Jewell's book, but reading the other reviews I feel like I have to try another one to understand the hype! ☝️

There are mainly two timeline we are following and it was really interesting to see how those timelines are connected. I enjoyed Sara's storyline just as much as Ruthie's storyline which I usually don't experience in books with different timelines.
However at the end I was wishing for a little more explanation for some things because I like when everyone is properly revealed. But I still really enjoyed it! :)

Wow, this book is such a good thriller! I was hooked from the start and loved the different views you got throughout the story. Especially Leo's view I thought was quite interesting. Also, I didn't really see the big twist coming until shortly before it was revealed and even then I was not a 100% sure about what the outcome would be.
However, I thought the ending did feel a little rushed to me because after the big reveal the story was wrapped up pretty quickly. I would have preferred a few more pages at the end. Still, this was definitely a five-star book for me!

Overall I did quite enjoy this. I liked the characters and enjoyed to watch the story unravel and the use of the different timelines which gave you more insight.
However, I do have to say that I did guess the main twist quite early on. I didn't know the exact details so it was still interesting to find out what actually happened and who was involved in Ellie's disappearance. Together with Lisa Jewels writing style which I did quite enjoy, this was still a 3.5/4 star read for me!

I didn't know much about the story before I started to read (or rather listen) to this book. However, I do have to say I did expect more from it because it is marketed as a thriller. At first I even thought it had potential to develop to a great horror book but them I felt it got a little repetitive and I already knew what would happen.
In the end though I did enjoy listening to this story and if you don't expect surprising twists or very much tension but rather an interesting story, I think it's a great book to read. Hence, I gave this book 3 stars.

I didn't go into this book with a lot of expectations. Usually, I don't like stories that take place on one day and one place because I tend to get bored with the story quite easy.
At the beginning I didn't feel like that. I was interested to find out what Darby is going to do with the knowledge she discovers. But it was revealed quite early on who the kidnapper was which kind of took the thrill away for me. Mainly that was due to the fact that I just didn't really care much about the characters.
Overall I think this story was not the kind of thriller that fits my taste. But I did still want to know how it ended, so I guess I did enjoy it a little. That's also my reasoning for giving it three stars. The ending itself did surprise me but also confused me a little because of the sudden change in the writing style on the last few pages.

I downloaded this book as am audiobook on a whim when I saw it available on Libby because it seems like a short story with a fun premise. And I did enjoy the audiobook and finished it in one sitting. However, I do have to agree with some other reviews in which it was pointed out that this was not exactly a thriller but rather a family drama with a sister that just happened to be a serial killer.
I guess the fact that the story was pretty short and we only get the sisters point of view didn't make me care too much about the other characters (dead or alive).

I thought this story had some parts where the story dragged a little bit. I was expecting a thriller but got a mystery. But still I thought it was a very interesting story and I enjoyed it overall. Also I thought the ending was wrapped up a little to fast for me and I would have liked to see what actually happened in between part four and five. Still I think three stars would not be enough, so it's probably more of a 3.5 star book for me.
