In a way, this book is a compliment to the Tiger Mom mentality. Levine breaks down the science of children, showing why kids do what they do at certain ages and how to best supprt their growth. She doesn't necessarily deal with the most difficult cases, but it was interesting insight.

Following Amanda Palmer on Twitter, it was interesting to see how all of her crowd-sourcing playes out. Her honesty is spectacular.

What a delightful read! A little bit "Eureka" and a little bit "The Incredibles" I am definitely ready to see what happens to Carrie and her friends next!

Even Krakauer's pretentious attitude doesn't detract from telling this frustrating, avoidably tragic story.

This would be a great book for an undergrad/someone who has not done research before. While the book is well-written, there are a LOT of lists, and the discussion of "the new-fangled Internet and computers" can get a little old. A great reference book when a person has a specific problem, I'm not sure how useful it is cover-to-cover.

As a girl from New England, it is always fascinating to read of places I have been, but from long ago. This book takes an interesting and historical look at a black couple in Revolutionary-era New England, and tries to take a part a legend I had never heard of. Fascinating life, the Princes had. Gerzina is a solid writer, and doesn't bog the reader down.
