This is a reread for me on this book, the 1st time I DNF but thought I'd give it another try as everyone seems to love it.
I'm glad I did as I really enjoyed it 2nd time around.

Jacqueline "don't call me Jackie" has split up with her boyfriend. She is in a dark place, a very dark place, (remember when you lost your first love?)

Anyway she tries to get over it and goes to a party, but her ex is there with a blonde draped all over him, so she decides to leave. She walks through the car park alone and gets attacked and nearly raped by a college student she knows, until Lucas steps in and beats the crap out of him.

Thus begins the dance of Jackie/Jacqueline and Lucas, and what a waltz it is!

A good read and I thoroughly enjoyed it not quite a 5☆ but still a winner.

Re starring ma shelves

Changed to 3*

Why??

1. It wasn't as good as I thought it was

2. Just watched the movie and it was mehh (I know that doesn't affect my take on the book but.....well it does)

3. I was obviously born under some shrubbery and have literally just found out about the author.

1 * removed as he is a bit of a douchebag!

Face palm!

This is one of those books that make you just want to rush down your street, knock at every door and just say "Hi" and hug them.

I honestly can not gush enough about this heartwarming beautiful book.

You will laugh, you will most definitely cry and you will also start to look at yourself in a different light and think about changing for the better.

Everyone definitely should get a standing ovation at least once
in their lives, I totally agree with August and I for one will stand up and applaud you.

Ok I will go as far as to say that I was slightly looking forward to this book however it was like reading west side story, same plot same characters, same old same old.

saying that though I quite enjoyed the book it had some laugh out loud moments but I read this book thinking that it was going to make me cry and unfortunately it didn't.

as with nearly all of my books I listened to this in audio the narrators were actually very good and I really thought they did a brilliant job.

although this wasn't the best story I've ever had heard I am a sucker for love story.

so if you want boy meets girl, boy and girl hate each other, then they start to like each other then fall in love, then they are star crossed lovers as one is from the wrong side of the tracks, gasp shock horror!! then this actually would be the book for you.

so my review is actually 3 and a half stars

Narrator :  really good narration actually, all of the characters sounded different and I could tell the difference between all of them.

Nadia and her brother Rabbit (Robert) are given (inherited) an injection (shot) to basically inoculate against the BlueStar virus which has basically wiped out 90% of the population -

Their parents have died and have left them to make there own way basically across America to a safe place, on the way they meet a few people and some unsavoury characters.

All in all I enjoyed the book, I am currently reading the 5th wave and it is quite similar in the storyline.

Would I recommend it ?  yes I would it’s a nice steady easy read.

Is it my favourite read? Not my fave but I didn’t hate it.

Narration:  Fab as usual, this series is read by the same narrator and is very funny, as per the others in the series though it is quite difficult to determine who is speaking as the narrator does flip backwards and forwards between characters and doesn’t tend to change her voice.

This 3rd book in the chocolate lovers series is about drew and Jenny and is from their point of view, it was as usual very funny, however I did not enjoy it as much as the other 2 books.

The usual gang are there Claire & Carter, Liz and Jim and obviously Jenny & Drew.

Also the star of the book Gavin is there being his usual funny self.

Loved the book and the series is very funny and well recommended.
