I love Lauren Blakely so I was excited to receive this book from the author, however I am not familiar with Lili Valente so I had my fingers crossed that I wasn't going to be disappointed.

Of course I wasn't!!! 😂

Loved this story but I only gave it 4.5 stars as opposed to 5, my reasoning is that I have been listening to a lot of contemporary books recently and they do all tend to start blending together if you are not careful, so I'm sure that at some point I will re-listen to this one and 5 star it, but for now it has a stellar 4.5 🌟

Now you have to know that when you get yourself a Ms Blakely book, you're going to have a good time, let me count the ways 😇

1. Her comedy timing is always perfect, I love the way her characters banter with each other.

2. Graham - This is a man that will have you turning into a puddle of goo, no kidding, HE DESIGNS LINGERIE PEOPLE!! He knows what looks good on what size women, and loves them all the same.....sigh.....

3. C.J - If ever there was a strong, independent woman, then C.J is your girl, she knows what she wants, and she's not afraid to ask for it!.......Well, unless you are asking about her virginity!

4. Stephen King 😂

Ms. Blakely is the queen of what she does for a reason, she knows her market and damn does she deliver!

Narration: PERFECT, just perfectly perfect in every way!!!

Ok I may be exaggerating a slight bit, but Sebastian York and Andi Arndt are my 2 favourite narrators in the whole wide world so they gave the sexiness a whole new level 😇

When Sebastian York whispers in your ears to undress slowly and seductively, well, you just damn well do what that man says!!!

LOVED THIS BOOK ♡♡

Okay so I was not expecting to love this book too much (sorry Aurora) I thought it was going to be the normal, Girl, Bad boy, instalove, hot sex ....The end!

And it sort of is exactly that but, BUT it was brilliantly done.
This girl can WRITE!

We have the cast....

November, she is leaving New York after having a nasty encounter and is going to live with her dad.

Her dad runs a club, a strip club, and November is going to work for him..........just doing the books mind, nothing else!!

Here we meet Asher, panty wetting, swoon worthy, bit of a douchebag Asher, my favourite kind of book boyfriend ........hummmmmm!

description

Alpha male, hot brothers, funny FUNNY cringe worthy times and a Southerton accent, what more could a girl ask for.

Oh and a little quick look into the next HOT brother Trevor. .........yumtastic!

Get it, read it, Love it ♡♡♡

Loved this book, my first but not last read of Sophie Kinsella.

This had me laughing out loud a lot of times.

Emma is on a flight that hits turbulence, Emma is a nervous flyer, a very nervous flyer. Emma thinks that she is going to die.........so she starts talking to the man next to her.

Except she doesn't just talk to him, she gets an extreme case of verbal diarrhea and tells him everything. .....EVERYTHING!!!

Like the fact that she wears knickers 2 sizes to small, and that she hasn't found her G spot yet, oh yes and that the company she works for has crappy coffee, a shitty manager and she threw away a clients details.

The flight landed fine and she went away embarrassed, but safe in the knowledge that she would never see the man again so it doesn't matter.............

Only the man turns out to be the founder of the company, the big cheese, the CEO of the company, and just so happens to visit their offices for a few days.

There are some cracking one liners and I thoroughly enjoyed this little slice of fun

4•5 ☆

Soooo this book is about your typical selfish teenager who's life revolves around herself and boys......Queue Belly !

This book in a nutshell:

Hi I'm Belly, I really really fancy Conrad and I have been in love with him since I was 11.
Even though he doesn't fancy me I hate anyone he talks to or goes out with.
His brother Jeremiah is lovely and is my best friend (and fancies me) but I will play him along in case I don't get Conrad. Oohh I also have a boyfriend called Cameron who I will also play along until I get Conrad.
Conrads mother is sick , really sick ...but anyway I'm in love with Conrad.

This book basically tells teenage girls to play along anyone you want until the one that you actually want, wants you back!

DUMB!

True Story

When I was younger (12) I moved to a new school after my parents had divorced, it was in a new town and it was already in the third year so all of the little cliques and friendship groups had already been established.

It was a really hard time for me as I was quite an introvert but then I realised I could actually be whoever I wanted to be as I didn’t really know anyone.

I became a funny extrovert and made quite a few friends (Wahoo go me!)

I also noticed and fell completely in love with a boy lets name him boy X ……………………. I was completely and utterly besotted with boy X for at least 2-3 years at school, in fact I turned in to quite the stalker !

I started to listen to the same music he did, liked the same TV shows….I was a proper nutcase !!!

But then one day ….sigh…one day he noticed me, I mean he actually noticed me! One of the most popular good looking boys in my year noticed me!!!.

Well as you can imagine I was a little bit chuffed about this and proceeded to tell everyone within reach about it.

We ‘went out’ for about 2-3 weeks and I thought that I was going to marry him, I had picked out my dress and everything…………………….Then I went down to the park to meet my friends and saw him kissing someone else ………………………I pretended that it didn’t bother me, but it did, it did very, very much.

This book was like listening to my summer when I was 13, and I realised what a complete and utter absolute tit I had been!

It made me angry about how shallow Belly was and how she didn’t care about anything else apart from herself, I know I know that’s what all teenagers are like, but I disliked the MC so much that I didn’t care if, when, why anything happened to her.

So no I didn’t like the book.

Review

Wow this book is going to be really hard to review.

This is one that you really have to read yourself, don't read any reviews and go in blind!

It is quite a slow read, and then it builds up, and you find that you can't stop reading as you have to know.........

The story in itself is about 3 children and how their lives are in a type of bording school known as Hailsham.
Tommy is a boy that no one really bother with as he has quite a temper, that is apart from Kathy who has always been friends with him, and Ruth, who's stories are sometimes a little bit "out there"

Kathy is now 31 and is telling the story and is looking back fondly on her memories at Hailsham, but then the story starts to take a more sinister edge, and we are then allowed to look at the school for what it is, and why the children are so special.

A shuddering 4•5 ☆ read.

Well just finished this, and although I usually step away from non fiction, it was a fantastic read.

Answers to the questions in your head.

1. Yes they are completely bonkers
2. Yes she does spill the beans about a lot of celebs
3. Yes there is a lot of info about Tom Cruise in there
4. Yes, he is completely BAT. SHIT. CRAZY!!!!!

4·5 stars from me

Omigosh i Luuuuurved this one!!

Leah Raeder is not your usual fluffy romantic Ahhhhh kind of writer, hell most of the time you want to punch the MC in the face!

But Oh. My. God. She can WRITE, her words are like poetry, just beautiful.

In this book Vada the MC is an artist, so everything is about colours and brush strokes, ugh just beautiful.

“Red. Harvest red. A jacket of russet, and sienna, and umber.” She didn’t object to extra words, so I went on, “Soot-black socks. A vest of pure snow. And amber . . . buttons. Old, wise amber that holds the sun, and carries it into the darkness, like tiny lamps.”“Is it a fox?” she whispered.

I received this audio book in exchange for an honest review.

The first part of the book is quite harrowing, Sydney is abused by her mother, she takes on a lot of different personas the worst being "Nurse Mama"

Sydney finally gets shot of her mother and moves into apartment 2B, she still has issues, one of these being that she doesn't like to be touched, at all.

I enjoyed the book, however the narration didn't pull me in to much.
The characters all sounded the same and sometimes I struggled to distinguish the difference, especially when there was 2 men talking.

Apart from that I enjoyed the book and was glad to read it.

i really enjoyed this one, considering it was a kindle freebie i wasn't expecting much!

Lucy is very proper, she does not interact with people at all although she is very clever and even went to university at 13.

Lucy has to try and find an experiment to keep her funding, however she can not get close enough with people to be able to do this.

She decides to do a social experiment on herself and young people to understand attraction and passion.

Lots of funny one liners and awkwardness.

This book very much reminded me of Celeste from the Flat out books as she was very similar.

Audiobook received free in exchange for an honest review (Thanks to Audio Blast)

This book was actually a pleasant surprise, I enjoyed it very much and will certainly be looking out for the Authors other titles and the 2nd book to this series.

Narration of the audiobook was good after she got "into the swing" of it, as at the beginning it was very monotone, and I was dreading listening to the rest.

The story follows Erin Solomon as she tries to find out what really happened to 34 people who died on a small island that she has recently inherited.

The story jumps between past and present to keep us in the loop and also throw in a few clues, but this was not confusing at all and I was able to keep up with the story.

I will certainly be reading book 2 in the series but I will wait for the audio to be released first.
