I adored the first two books in this series but I didn't particularly like this one.
I found this book unbelievably slow, it felt like it didn't really start until about 2/3 of the way through and even then it didn't seem like there was very much happening. And I'm someone who generally likes a slightly slower pace and I love character driven stories but this was just too slow even for me.
There were a LOT of names and aliases to keep track of and just a lot going on and I found it really hard to follow (I'm not great at keeping track of names and things at the best of times).
I also felt that Jean (who's my favourite character) was kind of left on the sidelines for most of this book, after building up him and the friendship between the two of them so much in book 2, it kinda felt like that dropped off here. I understand that the focus of this book was different but book 2 was my favourite in the series so far because of their relationship and that just wasn't very present here.
On a positive note, it was cool to see more of the world and see some important characters and this has definitely got me interested in the next one, however this particular entry in the series just wasn't there for me.

This is the first Sanderson series I’ve read and I totally get his popularity.
This was one of the best conclusions to a series I’ve ever read. The escalation, the character growth, the emotions were all exactly what I wanted.
Simply amazing! I don’t know what I am going to read next to follow that...

I now understand the hype about this series. I enjoyed book 1 but this one made me cry, shout out loud and sit silently in shock for a good few minutes at the end. The beginning is slow but once it gets going it REALLY goes!
This was such a fun read!
Not the most elegantly written but a good story, great world, likeable characters, just a great fantasy adventure.

I loved this so much more than I thought I was going to.
I've never been a huge fan of the adaptations I've seen of this book because I'm nota big fan of the soppy romance. But this book... THIS BOOK!
It had me laughing out loud, crying, smiling like an idiot at the romance and it even made me say "ooooh dang girl" out loud at one point.
It's charming and witty and hilarious and heartwarming and dramatic all at the same time. And this is from someone who is not a fan of romance.
This is absolutely deserving of all the many many years of hype and popularity that it has received. Skip all the adaptations, this book is all you need.
