Cute but nothing really noteworthy. I read it really quick and I liked the both leads. I saw some people complain about the miscommunication trope but I don’t think best friends with feelings for one another really fall into that category because I understand why they were scared to express their feelings and ruin the friendship. I don’t read books for realism but this one was a little much for me—everything was way too perfect. LOVED the “handwritten” cheat sheet at the end.
If my boyfriend proposed to me and then immediately took me to a wedding that he planned afterwards I would be SO pissed. I don’t know how that’s romantic at all.

The best romance I read this year. Definitely a slow burn, but I think it was worth it. The romance with Rhodes was secondary to the story of Aurora going through her own journey of self-discovery. I absolutely loved Aurora and her journey and growth throughout the novel. I also LOVED having a book with “older” leads. That being said, my biggest complaint was that Aurora called him Mr. Rhodes until halfway through the book… girl you are 33 stop speaking to him like you are a child and he’s an adult. Maybe it’s a southern curtesy thing I don’t understand. I thought Rhodes and Aurora were great together and I loved to watch their relationship develop.

Accidentally deleted my first review. This book was a cute, short romance between sunshine ML and grumpy FL. Good sex scenes and chemistry between the couple and it was all around a good feel good romance for Christmas.

Fantastic book about the VERY interesting life of Matthew McConaughey. A great mix of life lessons, philosophy, values, funny and fascinating anecdotes, and a glimpse behind the curtain of a Hollywood star. I listened to the audio booked read by Matthew McConaughey and am happy I did, it was much more interested from his voice.
Told myself I’d finish this for months but I’m just not engaged. The first story by Guts was DISGUSTING in the best way, but when you read reviews about the book that’s the one most people name drop, making me think the gore doesn’t get better or match that. I absolutely fucking hated Miss America story. Hot weight loss Barbie falls for the arrogant guy who gives it to her straight—come on. Very, very, very obviously written by a man in the worst way.

I enjoyed this book way more than I thought I would. I admit that Lachlan was a bit underdeveloped but he and Dani did have great chemistry. I think Dani’s trauma and PTSD is written really well.
I loved seeing such a strong platonic friendship between a male and a female. Wish we got an update about what he’s up to in the epilogue.

Cute for a quick romance, but full of cliches. The FL acted like getting cheated on was a crime and I didn’t really understand why she was acted like it reflected on her so strongly. Overall I didn’t love her character, but I didn’t hate her either. Also the book at so many pop culture references and I personally hate that.
The “she’s my friend’s sister” trope felt like a false dilemma. FL’s brother and ML had been friends for like a year and they’re all around the age of 30. I don’t think there was real conflict there, ever.
Minus points for the internalized misogyny that our FL isn’t like most girly girlz and other females are cute “if you’re into heavy makeup” and are always catty.

Dark and disturbing story about an almost 10 year old who is abducted from an aquarium. She is now 15 and tasked with finding her replacement.
Many reviewers described this book as graphic, and I somewhat disagree. While you reading understand what is going on, no assaults are written in detail, which I appreciated. I hate when assaults are written for shock value.
The writing style was simple and a little disjointed, reflecting the tone of “Alice.” I enjoyed the writing but found it a little confusing as some points.
I thought it was a very satisfying ending.

The best written Kristopher Trianca book I’ve read. Wasn’t full of cliches like Full Brutal. It was entertaining and gross and dark (compliments).
