This was definitely an unsettling and creepy read. Overall, I wish it was longer!

This has nothing to do with the book or my rating but I added a new edition so that it had an imagine and the horror genre tag didn’t take for some reason and it really bothers me. I also forgot to add the LGBTQIA+ tag but I don’t want to cluck up the editions by adding more if it doesn’t work.

This book was freaking cute. I really loved Tiffy and Leon and I foam at the mouth for letter writing in books so this was a big win for me. I think they make so much sense as a couple and are really sweet together.

I appreciate the author trying to differentiate between Leon and Tiffy’s POV but I hated the writing style used for Leon. He thinks in broken sentences that lack pronouns. It was really hard to get past at first and never grew on me (I like him as a character though).

It’s not on the StoryGraph list so TW for false imprisonment.

It took me a while to get into it and I thought the first time jump to the past and the Jane/Laura perspective was confusing. I’m glad I kept going though because it was really good and a really solid thriller.

Sometimes Andy was a bit frustrating like I just wanted to shake her and tell her to make better decisions haha but she was still likable. Hated her and Alabama though.

Besides the world’s most detailed account of a night of partying that spans probably 20 pages, this book was really entertaining.

Reminds me a lot of Tampa by Alyssa Nutting. Both books follow extremely beautiful women who do bad shit but for the most part get away with it because of their pretty privilege.

A great memoir. I think Stephanie does a great job describing what it was like to be in the clutches of poverty.

This book just wasn’t good. A very strong dose of “not like other girls” energy and a barrage of catty, petty, and “shrill” women who are constantly being internally mocked my the FMC for getting botox or eating salads. These girls are mean… but for no reason. Let’s not needlessly pit women against each other. Honestly all of the characters were very one dimensional.

I also don’t think the leads had the best chemistry? For the most part I liked Gavin, but so much of their relationship was just Marlee getting turned on by him. It’s not love, just lust.

This was book was a really quick read and overall entertaining so I would recommend it. It’s definitely not a thriller though.

It would’ve been a four star for me if Ayoola had any redeeming qualities as a sister. I think the books leaves it purposefully vague as to whether or not Ayoola has empathy, which is interesting. I lean towards yes, she does, which makes her stringing along the protagonist’s crush even worse. Just which K got some appreciation lol.

Love, love, love it! Nate and Stassi are such a HEALTHY couple it’s so nice to see. Their communication is so healthy and they really work through issues together and find common ground and understanding.

This book doesn’t have the most exciting plot and climax, but it feels like watching like season 3 of your favorite comfort show where the relationships finally come together (and/or fall apart) To me, it just shows a year in their lives and how they met, fell in love, and navigated life together. So wonderful.

I hated the epilogue. Even though it was a very common romance epilogue, I really felt like it didn’t go with this story.

Also I hate when an FMC under eats as a part of her story, and the MMC wants her to eat more yadda yadda. HOWEVER he’s constantly describing how hot her body is and how perfect and full her tits and ass are 🧐 if you’re going to make her being underweight as a part of the book, she needs to actually be underweight.

Can’t wait for this author’s next book though!

Another very cute read! I loved Felix and Brie so much, but this story definitely lacked some of the adventure that the first book did. And as much as I loved the tentacles, I felt the author should have saved the scene for another book.

I’m excited for Dante’s book though! And I’m planning on reading the novella before this book this winter.

The message was good but I felt the writing was pretentious at times.
