I’m just really tired of the whole “teenager who is better at [insert thing here] than older, more experienced adult” thing.

Otherwise, this was pretty good.

Three Dark Queens surprised me at every turn and One Dark Throne is no different. Wow. What a read. What way to make sure I’m going to continue reading the series. Truly, I have never read a series like this. Notably, however, is that there is probably four or five women to every man in this book. I don’t think there’s a single man in a position of much power at all (if any).

This is a great series. I’m looking forward to Two Dark Fates.

I really enjoyed this. It was fun, thrilling and I found myself consistently surprised by the things that happen. I love the world building and the magic. I’m looking forward to seeing how this develops in the next book. (I have an idea but we shall see.)

Great ending to an excellent, well written trilogy.

This... I just didn’t care. About Blaine who was hypocritical and judgy and never called out for it. Or about Ronan who was kind of a jerk - well meaning, perhaps and perhaps only a jerk in ways that bother me. (The ending really rubbed me the wrong way.)

I adore this setting. It’s whimsical and strange and curious, everything you would want in a mysterious land of undefined location. The Thief Knot follows along the precedent that Greenglass House set with puzzles and mysteries to solve and strange settings to explore. The characters are great - perhaps too smart for 14 year olds but then again, what do I know? 14 year olds seem so much smarter today than I was at that age. Great follow up book to Ghosts of Greenglass House.

I really enjoyed this. It’s a short book but the plot line is great. I really liked the two main characters. And the world building is great and the author manages to accomplish a lot in very little space. I’m looking forward to reading more by him, particularly the other books set in this world.

This series just gets better and better with each book. The ending is perfect and I couldn’t ask for more.
