I’m really mehhhh about this. Interesting concept. I just don’t care enough about the characters for this to really mean much to me.

I don’t care for the “MC finds love herself while matchmaking for others” trope. This kind of turns the trope on its head but I still don’t care for it. It was more interesting in the first half, before Marc and Vanessa got together, but after they do, I lost interest.

3.75 stars.

This took me a while to get into. I liked the second half significantly better than the first. There’s a few things that don’t make sense to me. But all over, very well written slow burn.

The writing was amazing, captivating, and I laughed a number of times. However, I found this to pretty problematic and unrealistic, and it really pushed the limits of how many times I can cringe while reading one book. I’m not convinced that Toby was messaging women who exist in this reality.
