The first half of the book is 'Law and Order' in a fantasy city on the edge of unrest. And then the revelations and plot twists start pouring in, and this book becomes so much more than just that. This book had me surprised at every turn, from the unique way of manipulating magic to secrets and discoveries that unfold. I can't wait for the sequel.

(There will be a sequel, right?)
