The first 50 pages of this book really threw me for a loop. I knew it was going to have some sex...but holy cow there was no time wasted jumping right into it (hehe pun definitely intended). I was honestly a little put off by the beginning but as I kept reading and got to know all the "sinners" and Myrna, I couldn't help but to love them all! I especially enjoyed the dynamic between Myrna and the band.

There was definitely a surplus of sex scenes in this book, and they were HOTT!!! I'll never hide the fact that I find musicians to be incredibly sexy, and the sinners were no exception. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series, I can't wait to hear more about this loveable band!

I was so excited to see how this series ended, I'd be lying if I said I wasn't disappointed with this book. Honestly, I skimmed a lot of the pages, I was so eager to get to the good parts.

I guess I can see why this book was the way it was, really the whole central focus was on people "feeling", so I can understand why that really was the forefront of this final book. It just fell short for me, I suppose I wanted more of a conclusion. I wanted to witness a better way of living for some of these characters that I came to love. I don't like not knowing what becomes of them! It's maddening!

Oh well. It is what it is. I still enjoyed this series as a whole. And really Requiem wasn't a bad book, I am just left wanting so much more than I got from it.

I really do enjoy this series. This book was no exception. The only thing that held me back from giving it a higher rating was Jessica. I just had a hard time seeing what was so appealing about her, besides her gorgeous body. The only time she was likeable, in my opinion, was when someone was severely injured. Maybe it was because she was still so jaded after her and Sed broke up 2 years ago, I get it, but she just spent way too much time either being a bitch or bitching.

I did throughly enjoy hearing Sed's story though. And I really liked all the little snipets from the other band members as well. I am an official Sinners fan! I can't get enough of these guys!

I really enjoyed this book! It was my first Nicholas Sparks novel, and I was not disappointed. I see what all the hype is about now!! Admittedly I have watched many of the movie adaptions of his books though, so I kind of already knew he was the bees knees.

One of the things I liked most about this story was how much I could relate to Beth. Being a single mother myself for so long, and also having similar issues with the father of my child. It was easy to see things the way she did. I understood how truly special it is letting someone into your life, and most importantly, the life of your child. I could also see why she liked Logan so much, I know, not that hard....he was pretty incredible. But he was also all the things her ex was not, patient, caring, compassionate, and observant. I loved the whole family dynamic that Ben, Beth and Logan developed...oh and Nana and Zues too!

I have to say that I also liked the way the whole Clayton debacle was done. It was never over the top. The guy was definitely not a great person but neither was he Satan reborn. At the end there, just as I was totally disgusting with him, he managed to leave things on a better note. I was really pleased with that. The ending was a real nail-biter, those last few pages were torture, Mr. Sparks!!! I will definitely be adding a few more of Nicholas Sparks books to my to-read list!

Georgia Cates how could you do this to me?! I was not prepared for a cliffhanger like this!! I need to know what happens next!

I really enjoyed this story. At first though, I was thinking this reminded me a little of Fifty Shades of Grey. The whole rich guy propositioning a stranger for a brief sexual encounter. I was so glad that this book ended up being different though. After that first time comparing the two books, I honestly never thought about FSoG again.


Beauty From Pain was a great story. I could actually understand why Jack felt the need to have things be so secretive. And I really liked Laurelyn, she was funny and unique. I enjoyed reading about their relationship and how much it grew from the beginning. I just didn't get enough!!! That ending is tortuous! I need more! Luckily I won't have to wait too long for the next book to come out....just 5 more days.

This book was really interesting! Gone was like Lord of the Flies, Chronicle, and Under the Dome all rolled up with its own unique flare. There is so much going on in this book, I am left with sooooooo many questions!! Where are the people 15 years and older? What's with the mutations, the weird dome, and the "darkness"? And what is going on beyond the dome? Trust me that's just a few of the many things I hope to learn the answers to as I continue on with this series. I thought this book was a brilliant start to what I think will be a very interesting series, and I can't wait to read more!!

Another amazing book! I really love this series so far. I can't get enough of these characters, the more I read, the more I want to get more and more of them.

Jet was incredible, every new bit of information I learned about him just made me like him even more. And him being an amazing musical god just put him over the top for me. I loved Ayden in Rule, and I liked getting to know her better in Jet. I was surprised to learn how dark her past really was. But I also loved that it wasn't sugar coated, it was gritty and shocking, and I love when a book can surprise me!

I adore all these wayward characters that have made a makeshift family for themselves. I love that they come from these broken homes and hard pasts, but manage to find some peace and love in a future with people who will be there for them the way everyone deserves. Each character so far has had a great story to tell, and I will be waiting on pins and needles to see what comes next for this bunch.

Well I was already obsessed with the Lux series....Obsession just took it to a whole different level. I loved getting to hear an Arum's point if view. It really made me think that everything isn't so black and white, there are some decent Arum, and pretty horrible Luxen. I can't wait to see where things go from here!!

I have to say that I was so much better than I had anticipated! After finishing the first book, I had at least two different ways I would have laid money on for how I envisioned this second installment playing out. I have never been so glad to be proven wrong! That being said, there were some other things that played out in the beginning that I saw turning out a certain way at the end, and in that I was right. But you know what, I'm totally fine with it.


I am completely satisfied with where this book ended, but like all good things, I was sad to see it end. I am both excited and nervous to see that there is a third book coming out. But after being plea stilt surprised with how things happened in this book, I am more than willing to let the excited feelings far outweigh the nervous ones!! I am so looking forward to seeing where the next installment takes me!!

I can't think of a more a more fitting quote to sum up this book. While the first book, Daughter of Smoke and Bone was more of a love story, Days of Blood and Starlight was a book about revenge, redemption and even a little hope. This was savage and beautiful.

Laini Taylor is a talented writer. Her stories are enchanting, she is a true artist, the pages of the book are her canvass....and boy oh boy did she paint a vivid picture. I thoroughly enjoyed this book, even though my heart was slightly hurt that Akiva and Karou seem doomed to never live their beautiful dream.

I can not wait to read the third book!!!! I have to know what happens next. Seriously, if you haven't read these books yet, you are missing out! Get them, you will not be disappointed!
