⭐ A totally refreshing, thought-provoking twist on a rom-com. What if being in a couple was seen as weird & undesirable by society?
⭐ It is funny & full of wit. The banter between the characters and Millie's inner thoughts won't fail to make you grin & have a good giggle.
⭐ The characters are fabulous. Millie is relatable from page one and I loved watching her character's growth throughout the novel. Ben is soooooooo swoon-worthy you, smart, charming. funny & gorgeous - what's not to love? & the rest of the gang are well developed.
⭐ So brilliantly written and engaging it is a hard one to put down.
☆ I felt the last few chapters were a bit rushed

Plot: Patience observes the world while trapped in her own body. She laughs, she cries, she has opinions and knows what she wants. But those who love her most - and make every decision about her life - will never know.
Or will they? When the Willows are offered the opportunity for Patience to take part in a new gene therapy trial to cure her Rett syndrome, they face an impossible dilemma. Are the very real risks worth the chance of the reward, no matter how small?
⭐ An extraordinary debut! - heartwrenching, gripping & hopeful.
⭐ Patience is funny, smart, opinionated & a huge Take That fan (all the best people are ). It was refreshing to read such a three-dimensional character, yes she is severely disabled but that is far from all she is.
⭐ A huge light is shone on Retts syndrome (a disability I'd never heard of until now) but the harsh realities of living with & caring for a person who is severely disabled aren't glamorized in any way.
⭐ Brilliantly written, Scott has struck the balance between humor & heartbreak perfectly.
⭐ It's a story that stays with you long after you have turned the final page & I wholeheartedly recommend it.

I loved the cover, I loved the concept but something just didn't work for me and I was gutted.
Vicki is an unreliable protagonist, she has epilepsy, her seizures, and medication mean at times she can't remember what happened... so how can she be sure she is innocent? From there the story is split between two characters experiences which I felt were rather disjointed as the connection between the vastly different stories was unclear for the majority of the novel.
That being said my curiosity was piked enough to see me reading until the link was revealed and I was intrigued to see what become of them both in the final chapters.
There are plenty of twists and turns throughout and this novel it had all the hallmarks of a brilliant thriller - revenge, a missing ex, an unreliable lead but its execution wasn't flawless.
Thanks to Netgalley and Penguin Books UK for sending me this in exchange for an open and honest review.

Plot: Nell Mason is extremely happy with her life – or at least, that’s what she tells herself. She’s absolutely fine living with her sweet, if slightly dull, boyfriend Gus in their London flat where they have very sensible sex once (OK, sometimes twice) a week. She’s definitely not stuck in a rut.
But when Nell bumps into childhood friend and first love Arthur Drummond who broke her heart fifteen years ago, she’s more than a little shaken. The seemingly perfect life she’s worked so hard for starts to feel, well, less perfect. Maybe Nell’s been kidding herself all these years. Can she ever get over her first love?
⭐ Money-Couts bring us a laugh-out-loud, swoon-worthy (Art) escapism one again! A must-read for all uplit fans!
⭐ Hilarious, I was laughing from the very first page! Nell's deliciously dark sense of humor really appealed to me & Gus's pet names never failed to put a smile on my face.
⭐ Every single character had their own vibrant personality & something unique to add to the story.
⭐ The writing is so effortless & engaging it was terribly hard to pit down.
⭐ That first love feeling is captured so intensely, the pages for your teenage love & heartbreak are inevitable.

⭐ It pulls you in from the very first chapter it's senseless violence & the overwhelming grief that follows. The short, sharp chapters keep you reading just one more to see what unfolds next.
⭐ Unusually is it written in the second person which really added to how deeply you felt the punches this storyline deals with.
⭐ The characters within this novel are uniquely drawn, Eira shows true resilience and Valerie really is a force to be reckoned with.
⭐ All the hallmarks of a perfect thriller with a twist of literary prose thrown in, perfect for fans of Gillian Flynn.
☆ I felt the pace slow towards the end which took away some of the tension for me.
